I called in a order for lunch today. 2 sandwiches. Roast beef with cheese on rye with lettuce, tomato and Mayo. Ham and Swiss with lettuce, Mayo and mustard. Both orders were wrong. The roast beef had globs of mustard which couldn't all be scraped off. I can't eat mustard. The ham and Swiss had tomatoes and no mustard. In addition the roast beef was so full of hard fat that most of it I couldn't bite through and had to put to the side of my plate. I was very disappointed.
Went in for breakfast with my family and received the worst customer service. They were very rude when I inquired about alternate meat and bread options. Aka Turkey sausage and Sour Dough. You would have thought I was asking them something outlandish. On top of all that.. they got the order wrong. My personal opinion? Go to Bagel Palace across the street. The girls there are wonderful and will most definitely have turkey sausage.
I really want to enjoy this place, as I've visited often during my weekend travels. Their bread is fantastic, and their sandwich menu is impressive. However, the service tends to be slow and can sometimes feel rude. Given that it’s not a budget-friendly spot, I feel hesitant to spend my money on service from young staff members who haven’t quite mastered good manners—or from others who come off as unfriendly.
I ordered the chicken cutlet with ham and Swiss, which I think is called the West Hampton something. Unfortunately, the chicken tasted overcooked, almost like jerky, which made my sandwich really disappointing. For $13, I expected more—especially since that didn’t include a drink or chips. The service here is very slow and comes across as somewhat unfriendly. The food isn't anything to write home about, and my orders have frequently been incorrect. The prices aren't cheap, and the deli has an overall unclean appearance. I really wish there were more deli options in the Wading River area.
Stopped in on my way home from Mattituck. Has anyone ever noticed how many flies are in this deli? Got a bad vibe. I agree with other other comments posted on Yelp about how the establishment appears dirty and unorganized. Totally screwed up my sandwich orders. Place needs work.
So my client and I have been going to this deli for about four years now, we both enjoy it very much. They are very kind and give great customer service. That's very hard to find these days. They are very fast and get you in and out. Foods delicious and priced reasonable.
