Struggling between a 3 or 4 stars here because the menu carries some unique items, portions are impressive, presentation is nice, but to me, most items really didn 't reach a 'wow ' level. This one is hard to pinpoint, perhaps it was lack of flavor depth, or texture of the fish, but here are the details:DRAGON BALLS Tuna, shrimp, crab and avocado all balled up and smothered in a nutty tanned sauce. Must order for uniqueness alone. SAMURAI BURRITO shrimp tempura, spicy tuna, crab, avocado wrapped in rice paper instead of seaweed so it looks sort of like a naked roll. The cuts are anything but dainty and it 's like a party of flavors inside. ANKIMO monkfish liver pate might be too much for tho...
Had lunch. Service was good. Very attentive staff which had great recommendations on what to try. Had the carpaccio with salmon and yellowtail salmon was delicious. Had the Samurai handroll and the sexy roll. Enjoyed the Samurai roll. The sexy roll was interesting alot of crab on that one. Also the yellowtail roll was interesting. King salmon sushi friend liked it. Enjoyed the crab nugget and would recommend crab in a shitake mushroom which tempura fried and has some shitito peppers. Had the red bean ice cream and matcha with the tempura fried banana. Red bean was sweet but not too sweet. I really liked the fried banana.Parking is very limited in this area so carpooling is best.
My wife and I tried Wafu Friday night for the first time. We loved everything about this neighborhood sushi place. We sat at the sushi bar and enjoyed watching the chef create fabulous rolls with care and precision. We eat sushi often and consider ourselves affeciandoes. We will definitely go back and will likely become regular customers. We highly recommend Wafu Sushi..
The best sushi I’ve had in a long time. The owner, Hideto-san, is a master sushi chef serving highest quality fish sourced from Japan. We’re so happy to have found this hidden gem and highly recommend to anyone who appreciates authentic Japanese flavors and exquisite culinary experience.

Seems very authentic to me, they have a variety of dishes besides sushi, pretty much everything i would want. Food is very good and the pricing fair. Ive been multiple times and will go back again! Loved their age-dashi tofu and other izakaya type hot dishes too .
The salmon at this restaurant is of excellent quality - it tasted so good that it felt like butter melting in my mouth. The samurai burrito was delicious, although the seaweed on the rolls was a bit hard. The service and attention from the staff was really good.
The sushi was fresh and delicious. I thought it was only creative sushi that you can't eat in Japan, but there was also authentic nigiri sushi. The service was very polite and the atmosphere was calming. Thank you for the meal.
Busy place during dinner time, prepare to wait if you don't book a table. Small interior, very crowded when full. The service staff is friendly.

The tuna was very fresh. But our rolls were not good. I'm not sure if we just ordered the wrong rolls or if they were just bad.Food: 3/5
The parking is an issue here, very small and busy lot. Otherwise the food and staff were great. Good lunch specials too.
