My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our meal at Wahoos. It was well priced and not over expensive. We have been there a few times over the past few weeks. We both had a vegetarian burrito meal with all the trimmings and extras. The chef cooking them added hot chips to my burrito which was super filling and delicious. They make their own special dressing/mayonnaise which is to die for. The food has always been fresh and they don't skimp on it at all. The chef was only to happy to please us. The atmosphere was a casual laid back, surfy diner style. You would not be underdressed if you wore your boardys and thongs or jeans and a shirt. I would definitely recommend this for a filling meal.
It's not much to look at from the outside but the place was full which usually indicates locals who love it, so in we went. The menu was easy to decipher and the prices were great. We ordered two dishes. They took a little time to arrive but both were delicious. Lots of flavour, juicy plentiful protein and a huge portion size. The cafe was popular so cleaning wasn't their priority but who cares, the food was great. Also so grateful for comfy soft seats. Close your eyes and pretend you're beach side in Cancun. We'll be back.
Food was great. The pulled pork tacos were a highlight in our group. When ordering I asked for a fried fish taco the sour older lady behind the counter replied 'grilled or baja' I replied the fried fish taco and she asked again as if she was annoyed. When the meal arrived I was surprised as the fish was battered and fried and with me saying fried fish you would expect she would know what I was talking about. Very off putting.
When ever we are in Burleigh, we always make it a point to dine at Wahoo.As always, this visit did not disappoint.We always have a Burleigh Burger, great value, and high quality.They source the meat locally and freshly make their patties. Not frozen ****, fresh, made daily!Great atmosphere, great food and extremely good value.Highly recommend!

Pretty good place to sit and hang out and watch the people go by. The food is pretty good, it's cheap and very filling. The staff are nice and it was clean and you can watch them make your food. I'd recommend this place to anyone.
Fantastic juicy tasty Fish Tacos. Best I've tried since returning from San Diego. Friendly staff. Cash only. ATM on site but be careful there's a $3 charge. Nice spot to have Fish and chips by the beach.
They have a great $10 any 3 tacos deal here which is great! We were allowed to mix and match, and we loved the fish taco and pulled pork.
Wahoo's has been in Burleigh Heads for over ten years and consistently "brings it" when it comes to service, price and food.

Slow service and not really tasty meals. Big servings to fill you up though, make it a good value place.
Very cool casual shop where you can sip a beer and have great fresh made to order food.
