Compared to other places that I have lived, and despite Sheffield 's otherwise flourising dining and takeaway scene, the selection of places to get good Chinese food for a reasonable place in Sheffield; especially around the London Road area, is certainly lacking. When I was looking around London Road for a quick portion of rice though, I thought that I should try one of the proper Chinese establishments rather than my previous choice, Yum Yum ; this was cemented by the fact that Wai Hong offered a simple egg fried rice for a lot cheaper than anywhere else I could find. The dish took a mere few minutes to prepare, as it was early in the evening and I was the only customer they were preparing...
Absolutely awful food. The starters were extremely greasy and lacking any flavour. A mixed starter had been flung together in a cardboard chicken box so when opened, it looked very unappetising and was mostly cold. The mains were better, but not much! Definitely won’t be returning here.
Needed a good Chinese to order from as the last takeaway from our usual was a let down so I had a look at trip adviser review's and choose this one ...I wasn't disappointed it's was the best we've had in years ...realy fresh and tasty not expensive ..will be going there in future
Best Chinese takeaway in Sheffield,as food is fresh and is seasoned beautifully and cooked on time. It is not too oily and additionally when you spend over £15 you get a choice of free food products such as chicken wings or prawn crackers etc

I just had a wonderful meal at Wai Hung Chinese restaurant with a bottle of wine. I can't speak highly enough of this place. The salt and pepper prawns were absolutely delicious, as was all of their fresh and tasty food. Thank you.
The service at Wau Hong is poor, I will not be returning. However, the food at the restaurant next door is fresh and delicious. I will not be going back to Wau Hong again.
