The food is good, NOT great but good. Stick to just the Pollo a la brasa with a side of white rice. The aji has some flavor and varies in heat from time to time(this is not good). The aji should be HOT and SPICY every time, cause thats the REAL Peruvian way! Was enquiring about the ceviche to the waitress as to what kind of fish they used. I was unable to get an answer, which leads me to believe that they use a questionable fish. There are some Peruvian restaurants that use cat fish(from south east asia). FYI if you as a consumer are told that the ceviche is catfish......run away immediately.
I wanted to have a meal with my daughter who lives in Hoboken, and the location was conveniently situated near everything. The food was excellent and served quickly. The waitress's recommendations were spot on. It might be on the pricier side, but we will definitely return soon! (The hot and spicy dishes are great for keeping those pesky traffic jams at bay.)
Food was great as usual. Order from here at least once a week, delivery or diving. From chicken, ceviche and tallerine everything is fresh and ready for perfection. Recommend this restaurant if you are looking for authentic Peruvian. I mentioned her salad dressing is amazing.
My family is Peruvian and they really enjoy our traditional cuisine. However, since I am vegan, I typically stick to tostones and yucca. I usually order food for my mother, who is 91 years old. She absolutely loves the pollo a la brasa and the chaufa rice.
