Auf dem Rückweg vom Weinviertel nach Wien haben wir hier nur für einen Kaffee und Kuchen angehalten und uns in den Ort verliebt, ein familiengeführtes Restaurant abseits der ausgetretenen Pfade und mit dem charmantesten Personal..... Wenn die Gebrüder Grimm ein Restaurant betrieben hätten, wäre dies es gewesen, tun Sie sich selbst einen Gefallen und verbringen Sie ein paar Stunden mit einem Spaziergang im Wienerwald und halten Sie dann hier zum Mittagessen an, ein Hühnchen am offenen Feuer geröstet, und vergessen Sie nicht, den Mohnkuchen zu probieren, wow, war der gut. The restaurant is completely isolated, in the middle of the forest, but the prices here are higher than in the center of Vienna. Absolutely ridiculously overpriced. Bad service. Food is average, nothing special. They brought us 5 reels and said it was included in the meal, then almost € 10,00 has charged us for it. Never paid 10€ for bread in my life, especially not in the middle of a forest. The waitress was rude when I complained. I have lived in Vienna for over 4 years and has never been treated like that. An absolute disappointment. Never come here and will not recommend this place. Her grilled chicken is only average, but they charge almost 12€ for a half part. Not sure how this place e...

We visited the ambience as a family. Service was also good with English-speaking staff. But we were very disappointed with chickens, this is the speciality of the restaurant and was very dry and without special taste. Lamb was just OK, but also overcooked. Surprisingly, they cost 19 euros only for bread, which served 3 people (10 very small pieces per 1.9 euros), in addition for butter and tap water (not all restaurants in Vienna invite for tap water and even for bread at least not at these costs). We have lived in Vienna for 1.5 years and have not seen a restaurant at this cost-quality imbalance. Overall, it is not worth driving 30 minutes at all - and surely I would not return there again.

Ich bin sehr überrascht über einige der negativen Kommentare von anderen Leuten. Das habe ich noch nie gesehen und ich gehe mindestens einmal oder zweimal im Jahr dorthin. Ja, der Service ist nicht immer unglaublich schnell, wenn man im Garten sitzt und es ist sehr voll, aber im Allgemeinen ist er gut und das Essen ist ausgezeichnet. Drinnen am Feuer zu sitzen ist immer etwas Besonderes und draußen im Garten, wenn es warm ist. Meine Empfehlung ist jedoch, immer etwas Warmes mitzunehmen, wenn man draußen sitzt, denn irgendwie kommt immer eine kühle Brise aus dem nahegelegenen Wald und der Strom. Und es wird empfohlen, einen Tisch zu reservieren.

Yes his in the middle of nowhere and yes his hard to find, but if you are there, you will forget everything to his like a fairy tale. we had a monster lunch with wine and schnapps and the amazing strawberry mushroom and lambbone and grilled chicken and roasted pigs and for 4 people with a lot of drinking and dessert we paid 200€. absolutely worth every penny when there is a sunny hot day in Vienna that is the place to be. next to it is a farm where you can buy all kinds of products completely homemade and fresh
