Normally I'd give the food 4 stars here but this time we went we ordered 1 order of prawns and fish basket and one all you can eat fish and chips. The fish in the basket were amazing as always, but the ones in the all you could eat were hard and chewy. I couldn't eat anything but a little bit of the middle. I ordered a refill, and they were the same. This has never been the case so I definitely say it's a one-off. Normally you can go and the fish and prawns are so so good, and a great price for the area especially for their lunch deals. Service is always always friendly. I went here with my Grandpa, his girlfriend, and family for his 94th birthday, his best friend at 90 said this is the best god damn chowder on the west coast period, I was like oookay man hah. We seriously had a good time here the food was absolutely excellent the atmosphere was memorable and the service was constant and friendly I had the all you can eat cod and chowder and it was constantly coming it was amazing the clam chowder clearly was an actual CLAM CHOWDER full of clams, which these days is hard to come by. While in the Seattle area, I really wanted to have a good halibut dinner. We were staying near Des Moines, WA and I noticed Wally's on the map. It had great reviews for the most part, so I thought I would try them out for the halibut! I WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED!! The halibut was moist and flavorful, the batter was excellent, and the accompanying french fries were awesome. Oh, and the tartar sauce was great! I was very impressed! The atmosphere in the restaurant was also great. From where I was sitting, I could even see a little sliver of Puget Sound. I will definitely be going back on our next trip!! Highly recommended!
Wally's has great food! The place is always busy, but it usually does not take long to get a table. I have had a lot of things off the menu and they have all been delicious. One of my favorites, however, is the Shrimp Fresco with chips appetizer. I order it every time and take leftovers home. Their Prawn tacos are also a favorite. Great service from Tanner! We ordered combo platters with some substitution, grill halibut taco , chowder and coconut creme pie. Most items are delicious especially the chowder and fried stuff. The shrimp was a bit over cooked. I would skip the taco. The pie was huge, more than 2 people portions! But very sweet as well so be careful!
So glad we stopped here for lunch! The New England clam chowder is the best my granddaughter have ever had. The rest of the food was just as delicious, and our server, Vanessa, was very welcoming. Highly recommended!
Crabmelt and pasta was heavenly also got pie and ice cream to go, and the staff was very thoughtful and even put a note on the pie for how long to heat and included extra utensils
I eat at Wally's one or twice a week for lunch. Very familiar with seafood. Wally's has excellent fish and chips. The Ling Cod is a favorite. I would highly recommend. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
I'm very particular about my seafood, but I loved everything I ate here. Plus the staff is all smiley and attentive, which is super cool. I very much enjoyed my time
