We had a large family catch up for lunch on a Sunday. As soon as I walked into the dining area, it smelt quite musty. The staff were all lovely and the kid's play area is fantastic. The meals were hit and miss. I ordered a vegie burger with chips. After eating a few chips I realised they were undercooked and suddenly there was a really off taste from something on a chip I was eating, so I discreetly removed it from my mouth and moved onto my burger. Met up with friends and their kids on a recent visit. I haven't been to this restaurant since the 1970's and nothing much has changed. The staff were very helpful and welcoming and even gave us a larger table so we could spread out with the kids colouring books etc. The kids raced to the play area to be greeted by an entertainer with a water pistol and told to put their hands up! Been a while since my last visit, but the fantastic atmosphere when we walked in was brilliant , went for my birthday with my wife , spotlessly clean and very friendly management and staff to help you with all your needs , the meals where great , the steaks where cooked to perfection and the sides and mushroom gravy where over the moon , the size of the meals where of great proportion and very fresh and tasty , the whole bistro was well set out and very well organized , highly complement all the staff , chef,s and the bar service , DOUG F from dingley village
We had our annual family Christmas get together at the Waltzing Matilda Hotel today. What a disappointment. As a group I figure we spent roughly $800. What a mistake. The food here is overpriced and terrible. The mistake we made was not to read all the other reviews. This won’t happen next year. The owners should be ashamed.
Great restaurant at this hotel, have been there twice recently. Meals are a good size, staff are nice and place is well set out, the best part if you have children is the play centre, it is massive and on Sundays they have a Spiderman or Superman character and have balloons and face painting. Would definately return.
Quiet night but the kitchen staff couldn't get it right. Messed up meals and orders and some of the food was so bad it had to be sent back. They don't cater for kids with allergies either as unsure about a lot of their ingredients. Will definitely not be returning.

We went to the restaurant it was awesome fun for the kids free meals for them on fridays join the kids club for free and get a free drink every time u visit and on Saturday nights there is a free entertainment for the kids and cheap meals too!
Picked this Bistro as it came up on our entertainment book. We were not disapointed. Food was very good and come out quiet fast. Kids loved the playground and kids meals.
