3.5 solid but wouldn't come out of my way Came for happy hour on Thursday night right before it ended at 7. was seated right away and was able to order the happy hour prices! Portions were what you would expect for an appetizer, and prices were around $6 $8). Lighting was nice and dark, lively romantic ambience that's good for a days. Truffle fries solid fries, very crispy, Mayo sauce was good but truffle flavor not super strong. Safe to order wasn't that outstanding compared to fast food fries Spicy karage strong flavors had peppercorns and lots of gochujang) so can be somewhat controversial. Tender Sake steamed mussels loved the light broth, mussels itself were lightly flavored Enjoyed the...

Consider this a combined review for Wanpaku and Hidden Pearl, the speakeasy that is this otherwise unassuming Japanese restaurant on the Williamsburg-Greenpoint border's claim to fame. The wait was not bad on a Friday night. My favorite dish of the evening was the avocado crispy rice, whose texture I would compare to a McDonald's hash brown covered in guacamole. I also am a big of kewpie-based Japanese potato salad, and the version here was good, although I felt tea sandwich bread without the crust would have been a better vehicle than crackers. The vegetarian Japanese curry was good, although admittedly this is a hard dish to make extraordinary. The best item of the night? The extremely green...

I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant with its delicious Japanese cuisine! The beef curry was incredibly rich and packed with flavor, although I would have liked a bit more meat. The ramen was also excellent; we tried the basic flavor, and it was perfect. For an appetizer, the okonomiyaki was tasty as well! I noticed there's a hidden bar in the back that looked pretty cool.

The best shime saba you can get in the whole NYC! Tender, fresh and delicious! I would come again and again for this dish alone. Must try for those who enjoy sashimi and strong tasting fish.Ramen is always tasty and consistent. Traditional is best but the spicy options are also very good. Do check out specials which change frequently. Great for lunch since food arrives quickly. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch

I highly recommend the cold noodles for summer, especially for those who enjoy a delicious bowl of ramen but find it hard to handle a heavy bowl of hot soup in the warmer months. The Tsukemen noodles are a bit saltier than we prefer, but they might be a great option if you like saltier broths. It's also a family-friendly place, suitable for groups of up to six people.

This place is pretty standard. Some really great drinks, and some slightly mediocre. Food was good, nothing exceptional, but no complaints. Service was great, from the host to server to bartender everyone was friendly and accommodating. Overall good experience.Food: 4/5

Everything we ordered was super flavorful and well cooked. This is a cute low key spot with happy hour every day of the week. You can't beat that. The ramen broth had good depth. We'll definitely be back to try the drinks at Hidden Pearl.

A good Japanese restaurant in the area. We had to wait a little when we arrived, but it wasn't too long. The pumpkin appetizer was fantastic, and the main dishes were impressive too. I will definitely return for lunch! Food: 5/5 Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch

I love this spot. The ramen is always amazing and the shishito peppers are a great starter. I also got the crispy rice and tuna which made my full meal awesome!! Never disappointed with this spot. Service was great as well.
