I'm a vegetarian, I usually adapt to what I find. I asked for a cesar salad without anchovy sauce, the waitress kindly tells me that she can put me the vinaigrette sauce. When my salad arrives, it was 10 lettuce leaves (not even cut) placed on the plate with some breadcrumbs and dressing. The problem isn't so much the salad served that way but the fact that it cost $13. The fries weren't freshly made, they looked like re fried fries, hard and half burnt. The fried cauliflower was very good. Many compliments to the blonde waitress Emma, super nice and willing to talk to us.
This outdoor brunch spot is really lovely overall. However, the hostess seemed uninterested upon our arrival and we were not greeted or acknowledged. Reservations were made for Sunday brunch, but it appeared that one could get a table without one if arriving early enough. Our server was friendly and attentive. I ordered a **** Mary but it was missing the seasoned rim that I usually enjoy. The steak and eggs I ordered were delicious and I would definitely order them again. My husband enjoyed the chicken alla vodka. I look forward to dining here again in the future.
This restaurant came highly recommended by a friend and I was truly disappointed! The first disappointment was a long piece of hair found on the middle of our table. The second disappointment was the extremely slow service. The third disappointment and reason why we left before our meal was completed was because a bee was found in my dad's cocktail. The manager handled it very well! He apologized for everything and did not charge us for the appetizers that we had already eaten. Unfortunately, I will not be returning!!!!
My last visit here was during restaurant week and this was the only day I was going to be able to take advantage of the deals. We settled on their menu because of a specific dish advertised only to find out that the dish wasn't actually offered when we arrived even though it's listed on all of their restaurant week menus.We were completely disappointed since this was the only reason we chose this restaurant over others this day. The setting by the water is lovely, but that's the only positive thing about this place. The food was tasteless and our drinks had fruit flies in them. It took 20 minutes to even get our drinks, which were not only wrong but also unappetizing. We only ended up here because the restaurant we originally wanted had a 2-hour wait, but after this disappointing experience, waiting 2 hours would have been a better choice.
The service was great, friendly and attentive without being too much. The food was tasty, my friend’s grilled shrimp was my favorite. The grain served with the fish was just okay. I forget the name of it. I also thought the fish was a little overcooked, but tasty overall. I’d try something different next time. Great spot to meet up with friends. I liked that there is a TV and could watch the tennis match!!
I had HIGH expectations when coming here but it fell a little short. Ordered the happy sushi roll, lobster BLAT, and seared scallop dish. Sushi roll was mediocre but the lobster BLAT was very good. The seared scallop dish was just okay (a bit under seasoned). Overall the presentation was lovely and the service decent. The best part was the view because it's absolutely gorgeous next to the water.
Steak was cooked incorrectly twice, and all they did was take 1/2 off. Music was way too loud I could barely hear people across from me. Service was ok, not great. This was an impromptu meet up with friends; we were able to reserve a table overlooking the water. The service was fantastic and the food was very good. I have consistently had positive experiences at Water Street and I look forward to dining there again.
