after reading the reviews, i almost cancelled my reservation. i am happy i didn't. we ate outside very relaxing and comfortable. we needed assistance to get to the outside dining. the wait staff was pleasant and very accomodating. waterdog tavern has a service elevator that can be used for patrons. we chose to order two appetizers for our dinner. all the dishes came as described in the menu and timely. unfortunately, the menu on the website did not match the menu we received at the restaurant. my recommendation is that the website should be updated.
Obviously the new owners have hired a crew that is likely completely inexperienced. Our servers were clueless. They dropped and broke dishes, apologized for our meal not coming out, (it had already come out) didn’t know where tables were when orders came out, didn’t know how to split the bill. Hey new owners, hire some experienced staff! You should know better, you own other restaurants! On the outside chance that they are experienced, then they were lost!

When I saw that they changed the name and menu, I was hopeful. but again nothing tastes great. all bland, they use a microwave, it's just blah. I felt definitiw that I was was wasting my money the last two times. it is regrettable because the restaurant itself is beautiful.

Service was off! Hostess was reluctantly accommodating; tried to seat the 4 of us at small bistro table (we had a reservation) New waiter was absent most of the meal. No flatware on the table. Had to cancel a round of drinks because we finished eating. Unfortunate birthday dinner. Good for beers only.
The restaurant is under new ownership for the past three weeks. Menu is rebooted and prices went up. Food was bland and overpriced. Sad because we really liked the old water dog tavern. Ow it’s called the Tavern at Waterdog.
New management kind of blows and the food isn’t as good as it used to be. But I will definitely be back just for the drinks and outdoor.
