To make matters worse, the menu I was presented did not match what was online—updating that should be a simple task. My waitress dropped several expletives while discussing the rising food prices, which was unprofessional and off-putting. I decided to order the daily special, a double cheeseburger, which was described to me as being thinner than usual patties, which I thought sounded great. However, the patties (think McDonald's thickness) were undercooked, and definitely not to medium rare as I had hoped—quite unappetizing.

The people dropping 1 stars must be high. This is one of the best establishments in the entire town. It’s pretty easy to tell when someone is just a Karen on here, ignore the negative reviews and actually come see for yourself how the place runs.Hometown bar with the friendliest staff around. They’ll learn you by name, and always greet you with a smile. The owner is down to earth and actively works each time I’ve ever been in. The food is great and the drinks are always cold. They actively support the community and are always putting something on.This is the best spot in Roxborough for anyone to unwind and enjoy a good draft or meal.
This locally owned and operated establishment is quite the refreshing and enjoyable oasis since theres no other bar for several miles. The food is more than just bar food, given a rather full menu with American cuisine options. The local popularity has occasionally made the wait times for drinks and/or food rather lengthy, and the atmosphere a bit on the noisier side more often than not--these reasons are the only ones that reduced the star rating from 5 to 4. Overall, it is a good establishment and nice to have close to home: Would recommend.
Absolutely outrageous! They charged me $0.75 for a side of mayo, treating it like it’s some kind of gourmet item, similar to avocado. It’s just a condiment, and no one informed me there would be an extra charge. Also, they’ve replaced paper towels in the restrooms with hand dryers, which is less convenient. To top it off, the burgers today were overcooked, unlike how they used to be. I do appreciate the burger size and the fact that they offer tater tots, though.

My husband and I love Waterton Tavern! It’s one of our go-to spots for a quick drink or a full meal. We love the Philly, fried pickles, and wings the most, but everything is so good! The staff is amazing and always attentive even when it’s super busy. The events are always fun to be a part of also! A Roxborough staple for sure!
Lived here for 20+ years and this had always been a staple and a go to, however it just seems to get worse as time passes. For one it's filthy. 2 they should never have stopped doing breakfast had the best biscuits and gravy. Tonight, only appetizer was wings, no burgers, no fries or onion rings. Very disappointed.
Not what it used to be. Ownership and menu changes really hurt this place. Also just tried to grab a beer at 6:15 and they are closed due to the weather I guess? It's roxborough you guys...I got back from Denver as fast as I could. The roads aren't that bad and we're all over reacting. Frustrating.
We have supported this place since the day they opened. I can not be more disappointed with the service, prices, cleanliness and all around feel of the only real place there is to chill out in the neighborhood : we will not be going back : Looking forward to the competition coming soon.

I have been to Waterton Tavern a few times and I always have a good time. The fried pickles and wings are tasty and I've never had a bad drink. Sometimes service can be a bit slow but the staff is always polite. A great place to watch whatever game you're looking for too!
