Recently, ice at this location was free; however, that 's not the case anymore. There 's a sign bythe soda machine that states that cups of ice were free upon making any purchase within the store. I would know because I buy myfuel and salads at this location and was never charged additionally for ice. I had a very disappointing experience at Wawa. When I placed my order through their menu, I accidentally skipped the sauce options without realizing it. Although I didn’t notice the mistake, their system recorded it differently. When I told an employee that I couldn’t eat what I received, instead of offering a solution or replacement, she just pointed to the receipt and said, “Well, that’s what you ordered.” I wasn’t aware that missing the sauce choice would cause such an issue, and it would have been easy for them to fix it. Really terrible WAWA. First time going in a store like this I thought I ordered everything correct because I skipped over sauced and from my print it didn?t show any on my end but from their receipts it shows it. At Wawa, I encountered an issue when a dark-skinned African American woman at the counter told me I needed to buy a drink to get ice, which felt misleading. If ice isn’t complimentary, why did she take at least 10 seconds to verify my proof of purchase? Also, why are the cups kept behind the counter? Shouldn’t an ice cup require a purchase?
I probably won’t return to Wawa—not because of the unprofessional staff, the 40-minute wait for an incorrect salad, or even due to inflation and gas prices—but simply because the cashier was clearly dishonest and seemed unable to think logically about the situation. Wawa itself as a large chain of convenience store is pretty darn good. This particular Wawa is extremely bad, the service is slow if you have an hour lunch break you WILL eat your lunch hour waiting for food. I dont blame the staff, management or upper management is to blame. There are three, sometimes two people prepping food and they just get overwhelmed with food orders. So, staff seems ok but upper management needs to look at this store closely and staff more people accordingly. Ive waited more than 30 minutes for food, this is daily because this wawa is very convenient from where i am working, too bad service is slow.
Someone please tell me what is the purpose of you being able to tell them what you want on your sandwich and they don?t put it on your sandwich!!! Come on! Poor customer service and then one of the workers was extremely slow (maybe she was new) and shewas talking not while working, she was standing there with customers waiting for their food. Takecare of your money. Once I got the gas because the display said 3.69 per gallon and when I finished, I saw it was 3.88 on the pump... my bad, I didn't see the scam. Today I bought 5 drinks and asked for an empty large cup and the lady charged me1.99/ she didn't give me the invoice and waiting for me to leave. I asked her the cup again. Then I asked her for the receiptbecause I was confused. You are already a running store. Don't rob people for patty things.
I frequent this wawa because I work near by. I would like to compend Ms. Jayln for her customer service. She is always calm and pleasant no matter how is it might get in the store. Please give this woman a raise or promotion. You don't see this kind ofservice in a lot of establishments. Thank you for what you do!
