Love this place! When you arrive for the first time you might confuse the tap room in the adjacent building with the wayfarers the taproom. Wayfarers tap room has the same entrance as the wayfarers brewery, as seen in the photos I took. Yup, I love this brewery! They have good quality beers! All of them! They have discontinued the British ale. It was my absolute favorite beer. Although I am sad to see it go, I know it is because not enough people bought it. Likely because IPAs and extreme IPAs have taken over from the brown, red, amber and ESBs. This is an industry wide trend. Hoppy beers have a dry finish. The styles I mentioned have a sweet finish. New England IPAs have a cloudy appearance...
I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff for making our first dinner out after the lifting of some COVID restrictions so enjoyable! We truly appreciated the minimal contact with staff while still receiving warm smiles and greetings. The option to text our order from our patio seating was a fantastic idea! We noticed the hand sanitizers readily available upon entering the restaurant and patio, and the seating was well arranged to maintain social distancing while we enjoyed our meal. Our server promptly sanitized our table as soon as we left, which we really appreciated. Kudos to the staff for the delicious food and for enforcing strict COVID guidelines that made us feel safe. Now, with that out of the way, I can say this is a fantastic spot located in a somewhat industrial area. The patio overlooks the river, providing a great view of the tide coming in as you enjoy your beer. They have a wide selection of beers on tap, and you’re welcome to sample everything before heading out to the spacious, multi-level patio to savor your favorite pint. There’s also plenty of merchandise available if you’re interested in that sort of thing. My advice is to eat before you arrive, grab a pint, take in the stunning view, and you'll leave feeling very satisfied. That's all there really is to say about it!
The beer was decent, but we hosted a work event there, and they assured us a buffet. Unfortunately, they ran out of food well before all the guests were served. The little food that was available wasn't very good either. I wouldn't recommend this place.
Great service. Sadly new ownership group have meddled where they shouldn’t have e. Drastically changed the craft beer offerings. Taste has gone from great to poor. Heartbreaking
This was my first visit, and it certainly won't be my last! The pizza was incredible, the garlic fingers were fantastic, and the beer was excellent!
