Wanted something different for breakfast (so many places lack originality) and thought I'd try out West end.
The positive reviews are well deserved.
Let's get the basics out of the way: The location is on a nice suburban street with ample parking. The restaurant itself has many nice large tables that are spaced a good distance apart from each other. There is table service so you don't have to "lineup and pay first" as though you're in a mess hall.
The menu was extensive with the usual brekkie basics as well as some very interesting choices. The dish I ordered had bread, kale, eggs, cheese and a mushroom terrine (this replaced the avo). It tasted great, was the right portion and very we...
We live in the local area and used to come for coffee and the customer service multiple times a week. Unfortunately, after an apparent change in management/staffing, we feel that things have gone downhill significantly.My regular coffee order is frequently incorrect and, despite requests to have it prepared warm, it is often blistering hot. One can only alert staff of such issues so many times before giving up. We're going elsewhere for coffee or making it at home. Why pay for an inferior product when I can go elsewhere or even make a better coffee at home?One star for the sentiment of what was a great coffee spot.

Food was absolutely amazing. A little on the pricey side but it is pretty big. Cheese just oozes out of the Brie baguette.
Bring a friend so that you guys can order two and try both flavors!

Amazing food, and the service was ridiculously good on a busy morning. Pea-guac is a match made in heaven and that bacon could be close to the best I've ever had.
