Westfair is the best, period. They don't mess with the formula that achieves results; make fish the star. Everything is prepared fresh with quality ingredients and a light hand. It’s an efficient and effective setup. You order directly to the kitchen and they make it for you. We have had their: soups, fried shellfish and fish and also lobster. Everything is always spot on including even the sides of: steak fries, onion rings and fresh coleslaw. They are friendly and helpful and the wait time is surprisingly reasonable. I am originally from New Hampshire and grew up eating fried whole belly clams and other delicious fried seafood. I have not been able to find a good place in Norwalk, where I work, to get some fresh fried seafood. This place brought me right back to my childhood. The seafood was fresh, the breading was light, and the staff was beyond friendly. This is the place if you want fried seafood just make sure you bring cash. I highly recommend the whole belly clams in the fried shrimp. Oh, and don’t let me forget about the delicious onion rings.
The restaurant offers excellent dinners, though the quality of their fish and chips can be inconsistent now. It was once the best in the area. The service is excellent, with a meal type of dinner costing between $30 and $50 per person. The food is rated a 3, while the service and atmosphere are rated a 5. This restaurant is our favorite spot for enjoying some of the best classic batter-fried fish, served with steak fries and a side dish. It's awesome! We highly recommend it for dinner. The price per person is between $10 and $20. The food, service, and atmosphere all receive a perfect score of 5.
