Inside, the restaurant exudes a lovely atmosphere, complete with a warm welcome and stunning views back towards the mainland. The menu may be concise, but the food is excellent and beautifully presented, featuring vegetarian and various seafood options. We had the pleasure of dining inside on a lovely day, with the doors wide open, offering us breathtaking views of Oban Harbour and its bustling activity. The staff even kindly reminded us about half an hour before the last ferry back to mainland, providing a lovely backdrop of sunset to conclude our experience. I would highly recommend this venue for a simple yet memorable evening.
I really wish I had taken a picture of the food! Unfortunately, I got too caught up with my dog and my hunger, and I demolished the meal as soon as it hit the table. The food was of excellent quality, and the service from all the staff was very friendly. We had the Bark Breeze cocktail, a bottle of red wine, and shared a dessert. The portion sizes were good, and the prices were reasonable for the quality. My dog, Delilah, was also a happy companion to share this experience on such a beautiful island with friendly and efficient people.
This restaurant is absolutely stunning, featuring a beautiful view of the Oban harbor. They offer excellent Scottish food and drinks at affordable prices. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, adding to the overall experience. Dining at an outdoor table is incredibly relaxing. Additionally, in 2015, visitors to this restaurant could enjoy a free ferry ride from Oban, making it even more appealing for those looking for great cuisine.
we enjoyed our beautiful little boat trip over the island kerrera for lunch in the waypoint restaurant bar and a great hike on the island. our service was perfect and helpful, they gave us a hiking map with a key that actually helped us a bit. the fish and chips were great and our view of the marina. nizza with bathroom available, and there were also showers definitiw a holder and a hidden gem. Had the best afternoon visiting Waypoint Restaurant, it was such a fabulous experience. Our lovely waitress went above and beyond considering it was super busy. So looking forward to going back, it's a wee hidden treasure. Veronica xxx
Great little trip across the bay, would highly recommend the whole experience. The ferry runs every hour until late and the owners are very kind and helpful. Food is also particularly good, and a beautiful view of Oban in the evenings.
Excellent food, an undiscovered gem within a 10 minute boat ride from Oban. Relaxed atmosphere, we will definitely be back. If you are in Oban and looking for something a bit different this is well worth a try.
