I tried it! That 's the positive in all of this. I believe I called in a little before 12pm so it was understandable that certain foods would not be done (i.e. the collard greens . They also did not have red beans and rice. So after all of the we don 't have this or that! I placed my order: 6 pc red snapper dinner with potato salad and Mac n cheese, pickings were slim. The 2nd order was a 6 pc catfish with green beans, potato salad and a side of hush puppies. Oh wait ...I forgot... NO PEACH COBBLER!!! (in my head I 'm thinking, why are yawl open ?. Picked up the orders. Potato salad in the same Styrofoam container with the cooked food.....eventually will equal mashed potatoes. Just an FYI! T...
My friend told me about this place so since I was in the I.E. I had to try it. Prices you expect when you buy BBQ. I bought a 3 meat combo and a half slab of ribs. The ribs were cooked to perfection. When you bite into them it would fall off the bone. The hotlinks are HOT. So if you dont like it too hot, I wouldn 't recommends them. Me, I like it hot. The beef was good and there was not alot of fat on it which is a good thing. The mac and cheese and greens were also good. The sauce was ok to me, it was a little on the tomatoe side for my palate. Good customer service. They were warm and friendly. When I got my order, she showed me my plate and she said let me get you a little more sliced bee...
Ordered a slab of pork ribs with 2 sides of mac cheese. Although I called 30 minutes in advance they didn't start the order until my son arrived. It was a if they didn't think we were really coming for the order. The ribs were disgustingly cold as was the sauce. It's as if they just last minute cut up some ribs that had been sitting there and poured the cold sauce on them. I know all of the ribs are pre-made, but they didn't even bother to heat them. The only flavor in the mac cheese was salt. Some people think just adding a bunch of salt means flavor. Barely any cheese. I was overall disappointed in the meal that costs me $49.27. Will I be back? NO!
Ever since I visited the south I?ve been looking for a place to fill that soul food hole that the west can?t fill. Guess this place isn?t it either. Smells great. Don?t answer their phones. I waited over an hour for two meals, the cat fish. Then we get told ?five more minutes.? I guess they kill and butcher the food too? I couldn?t think of any other reason it?d take so long. There aren?t even other people here. I?ll never come back. No food is worth this. Saving star for having good food. Fish was great. Collard greens were good. Great Mac n cheese. I stopped going here. Finally got around to putting out a review don?t try calling in a order you will still have to wait when you get there as if you never called it in. Lol I called my order in and got there and still had to wait nearly 45mins for them to bring it out. I expressed my frustration and the the wife of the business was very rude to me when I asked her why so long even though it was placed 30 mins before I got there. Not to mention it was only rib tips. Poor customer service place
I was working in the area and found it on Google Maps. Decided to stop in, and definitely found what I was looking for. Got the sliced beef, ribs, baked beans, Mac n cheese, and collard greens. It was DAMN GOOD. Those collards were bomb. Ribs would have great flavor even if it didn?t have the sauce. Baked beans were smacking, too. Will definitely be back the next time I?m in town.
Shay and the team are very nice people! It was our first time visiting, and we ordered the two-meat combination. It was really good, and their mac and cheese and baked beans were absolutely delicious.
