I just had the best Whataburger experience of my life. I drive into the Mobile area from Athens Georgia to visit family from time to time, and this Whataburger is always my first stop in the area. The staff was friendly, the service was quick, and the food was fresh! Honestly, even though Whataburger is my favorite fast food restaurant, I have always viewed Whataburger's fries as their only weak point. Let me tell you, those fresh and so hot you could barely hold them fries I got tonight changed my opinion. Generally speaking, I don't mind waiting a little while for my order when I go places especially late night like this. I do get greatly irritated, however, when a simple request is not do...
The SLOWEST, most mismanaged Whataburger on the face of the Earth! They keep the dining room closed after hours now. I have no clue why they ever put two drive thrus here because they never use them. It usually takes 15-30 minutes to go through the drive thru. I used to call in a breakfast order back when this place was ran properly and could run inside to pick it up quickly. Now they make you go through the drive thru and wait with everyone else that didn't call in an order if you're there before they open the dining room. What's the point of calling in an order if you're just gonna make me wait 30 minutes in the drive thru? The food is mediocre compared to the old Whataburger down the road...
I gotta say tho they are quite pricey, they're worth it. We stopped here late one early morning and the onion rings were some of the best I've ever had. Unfortunately the onions on my burger were nasty and unpleasant, but the rest of my meal was amazing, especially after working a 14 hour shift and it being almost 2 am. To top off this great place, they actually had unsweetened tea. This place makes McD's look like a joke. I'll gladly spend extra money to get exactly what I order and have it fresh and taste so good. Thank u to the guys who were working the late night shift. I know it can be boring, but for those of us who need something to eat at that time, we thank u.
I visit these stores all over the South and Southwest, so I'm already a bit partial to the brand. This location did a great job with my order and my food was as delicious as any other time. That's what makes them so great; Alabama or Arizona, I know what I'm getting. The bathroom was clean, as was the dining room. The food was excellent, and the kids did a fantastic job. They had a lot of fun and kept the customers entertained with their antics. I found myself laughing so much that I barely had time to eat! It’s wonderful to see young children enjoying their work. I will definitely be back! Thank you!
I chose to try the Jalapeno burger and it was perfect. Fresh hot and fast. Servers were friendly and that made it even better. Great place to eat.
