I really do like visiting WGC. And have been visiting for the last 13 years..The food is great. Nice portion sizes, and always served hot. We were there for Easter and had a lovely roast dinner. My only gripe is I wish they would sort out the carpark. It is covered in pot holes. And makes walking from your car into the club quite treacherous. Not to mention the damage to your car. When walking from the course or your car. Your shoes/boots get covered in mud. Whilst the carpark area is leased, which I know is a pain. It couldn't do any more than enhance the entrance to the Golf Club, to have the carpark area finally sorted after all these years. Oh, and the actual golfing paths... let's see t...
Visited on Wednesday 14th June. To be greeted by… NO-ONE. We waited a while shouting hello a few times then a young lady came out and promptly said you’ll have to wait she’s busy! Eventually an extremely‘happy’ (not) and very stone faced, Ill mannered lady in her 40’s came out. Didn’t say a word! We ordered breakfasts and drinks for 4. The first words she spoke were ‘your drinks will have to wait as I’m emptying the dishwasher’… After about 10 mins she shouted ‘drinks are here come and get them’. This ladies manners and attitude were disgusting and business is obviously so good they don’t need our custom or anyone else’s if she continues serving like this!!! Ps. Went for a meal as a family of four, we know the wait is a little longer than other places, but don’t mind waiting at all as the food is lovely, However the staff are terrible all young we asked to see the dessert menu it got plonked on the table, the waitress walked of without telling us what they were as it says dessert of the week we waited again to see if she’d come back but was to busy talking to another member of staff behind the bar! So we decided to get the bill and go, got our order mixed up with another table it was terrible service we will not be back disappointed as I work in hospitality get some decent staff and stop employing kids that don’t care about customer service
Booked for dinner after a long break from not going ...bar staff very helpful pleasant...had the Cheesy garlic bread with hubby for starters we both had the Lasagne ...nobody told us on how big the portions were !! it was absolutely delicious ...couldn't finish it all as I wanted a pud ...had a doggie bag with left over Lasagne.. then had Honeycomb cheese cake ...very nice .. The lads always go here when wanting a full english breakfeast, as its (was) the best in Leicestershire, the last 3 times though they no longer use quality pork sausages, there now using horrible tasting herb flavoured sausages which have totally ruined the breakfeast, Its no doubt a price issue and trying to cut cost, also only get half a mushroom not a one full as before, wont be back until quality wins over cost
Visited tonight for a family meal and the food was great. Unfortunately the service was well below what we have experienced before at this restaurant. The young girl that dealt with us had no interest in her job and a complete lack of manners, very rude. Won’t be visiting for some time due to this, disappointing night.
The food was delicious. Amazing value for money and a decent serving. So tasty and I would visit again because of this. What really lets this lovely little place down, is the state of the car park, pot hole city and that there is no disabled parking at all, although their website said there was.
Myself, wife and daughter often eat here, we have never left disappointed. The food is always cooked very well and very reasonably priced. On a sunny day sitting outside next to the putting green, beer in hand with a lovely big fish and chips, perfect. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Chance for my American friend to sample really good Uk food. He was not let down. Although the place was very busy all the meals were really good well presented .Great place to bring people from outside the UK.
