My wife and I eat here regularly. We always have the small breakfast which comes with tea or coffee and even after adding a couple of extra hash browns it still only costs us £7.80 in total. Apart from this the quality of the food (with the exception of the sausages which we find a bit tasteless) is excellent and always served hot and on hot plates. The eggs are always perfectly cooked unlike most places which serve eggs semi raw and the service is always great.
been going to whistle stop for a few yrs..lovely staff..paul karen..shannon..michelle..so make you welcome...chatty..great..nothing too much trouble...place is down to earth and homely.........could do with update....especially the toilets a lot of the time dont work .or no bog roll....need a clean devo...but other than this is a good down to earth cafe cheap and cheery cafe...lovely people all of them..please tho sort the toilets out..
What a place, if you live or are visiting Wigan this is the place to go for Breakfast or Dinner.....food is great, Staff are friendly, It is a café not a restaurant so don't expect frills. MEGA BREAKFAST is fantastic and at just £5:50 best value...…. Tea/Coffee Fresh juice 4 bacon, 3 sausage, 3 eggs, mushrooms, beans, tomatoes, blackpudding, 2 fried bread, 3 toast Will be going again guarrenteed. Thanks
Not the Ritz by any means and the amenities are basic BUT value for money is fantastic and the food is cooked to order,so delivered to the table hot, not any of this standinding for hours under heat lamps to keep warm. Staff give a very friendly Wigan welcome Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch

Very near Wallgate station and a typical old school cafe. No frills but food is tasty and very cheap. Not the most salubrious of places.
Lovely hot breakfast and reasonably priced. Staff friendly and accommodating. Could do with a refurb and perhaps some heating.
