Beautiful picturesque pub perfect on a summers day! Their service was spot on, super friendly, efficient, and I felt like they cared about their customers satisfaction. It’s a nice change from the city. The menu has a nice selection of typical pub grub dishes and they do the Sunday roasts The calming atmosphere was perfect, with plenty of outdoor seating and they have tables situated by the canal. I love pretty pubs like these, this is truly a gem. It was just what we needed, very peaceful.
Atrocious customer service. They NEVER answer the phone... Tried to make a booking for a large group, called numerous times and left 4 messages over 3 weeks asking them to call me back if there was a problem. No one called. Discover 1 day before that no booking had been made. As previous regulars this is really disappointing. I understand they are full but the least they could have done is call me to let me know. They clearly don't value customers.
Have eaten here several times now and each time there has been something wrong with the food, the first time it was so salty it was inedible, another time the fries had deep fried insects with them, another time the mussels were I a very strange sauce and quite a few were off. However worst of all, a few of the wait staff are incredibly rude. Such a shame because the pub itself and the location are superb
We went to the White Hart halfway through a circular walk from Castle Combe through glorious countryside in the sunshine. A warm welcome from the staff and two tasty courses each for lunch at an outside table by the river. Good value for money, we came away feeling very pleased with our experience and I’d go back without hesitation. Highly recommended. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
A very quaint riverside character pub. Very nice food cooked by a chef! Friendly helpful staff. Food is competitively priced. Teas,coffee a range of non-alcoholic beverages available for the designated driver.
Lovely food and really helpful staff. We came in at 9pm last night and although the kitchen was closing staff went above and beyond to get us some main courses to enjoy. Very much appreciated!
Very long wait , due to poor service and forgetting menus. Main fish meal dry and baked, veg not fresh, dessert better, took 2 hours to get main and dessert
