We were holidaying again in Brancaster and decided to book a table in the restaurant here on our penultimate night. The restaurant has lovely views and a relaxed coastal ambience. Our food was lovely, we both had the scallops starter, chicken main and lemon tart and Choux dessert. Slight criticism from myself as one of my scallops was slightly over cooked although my husband said his were perfect. We had a very nice bottle of wine plus water. I have taken a star off though as we both felt our waitress, although exceedingly polite, was slightly disinterested in what she was doing and not fully concentrated on the job in hand and also the over cooking of one of my scallops. Firstly we were sat in the bar, 4 of us with our dog, not the restaurant which maybe the majority of the reviews were based on? The restaurant looks fancier with lovely views. The service was ok, a couple of issues with my daughter’s drinks and her meal was given to another table so we had to wait for that which is never good. Friendly staff. Had to ask for menus having been shown to our table then forgotten about. The food was good but like with many of the other reviews it is very expensive. We turned up at 14:00 today and were told the kitchen was busy so we would have to order drinks while we waited after one hour we received a tiny piece of makeral and about a dozen moules as starters we enquired if and when we would get a main course and the waiter rudely said he had no idea the restaurant was on obviously totally over booked for lunch and no hope of serving us so we left so the whole experience was a complete waste of time ... Avoid unless they up their game
the white horse is a popular pub in this part of north norfolk in summer they will probably fight to get a table. it has a large deck that has a fantastic view of the sea. the bar menu is decent. they try to do something modern here, and it is a *sortiment* work. the sides come in mugs. eating comes on wooden boards. it's not bad, and it's a pretty cozy, cheerful place to make it even worse.
The food is delicious, very well prepared and presented with fresh seafood an absolute must if you dine here. The service was faultless, in particular a shout out and big “thank you” goes to Nathan who made my birthday lunch a really lovely,experience. All together a wonderful time was had by both of us and we’ll definitely be back.
An excellent room. A very clean room. A very convenient room for ourselves and our dog. Hotel situated overlooking the salt marsh at Brancaster Staithes. Food good. However if you have dog you have to eat in the bar which isn't as good as as eating in the restaurant. That said an enjoyable stay with smashing staff.
This is such a great place to come. They serve lovely food, lots of seafood unsurprisingly. Service is friendly and the setting is second to none. It is really busy at peak times, depending on what you are after this can be a slight negative (of course it's busy because it's great) also the prices are quite high.
there was a chance to see if we could eat here today. the personal was beautiful and we managed to squeeze. we were not disappointed. the food was beautifully presented and totally delicious. the restaurant filled quickly, which is always a good sign. I would definitely recommend a visit here.
excellent service and eating. it was to do when we arrived at lunch, so we had to sit outside, but the heating was brilliant. eating was served in a good time and the seafood was expensive, but incredibly fresh. the waiters were friendly and easy to speak. if they are in the opposite
