I read reviews about the white lion before looking for good gluten-free breakfast options. I called the day before to ask about catering for coeliac, and it was so nice to be talked about my options, instead of the usual “we recommend. they find somewhere different”. I understand that many places are not responsible for catering for food intolerances or allergies, but honesty the woman I spoke was more than accommodating. the next day we came to a nice greeting and it was so easy for me to order as I already recognized my options and how they could care for me the breakfast that arrived was in a word, immense! the portions were more than generous and the gluten-free toast that accompanied my...
the personal is really attentive. food proportions huge and good value for money. we were just little disappointed that the menu had changed, but not updated on the website. Maybe some areas too close to quite loud bar visitors, but more than possible to eat them...out the food was really delicious (the burger was bigger than the 23 year old son, as I already said, there was a lot of it so we asked to take a Doggy bag home.
beautiful small pub with a community atmosphere, friendly staff and extraordinary eating. great portions and good price for what they get. garlic mushrooms divine and comes in a suppen bowl, much more than expected! beer selection a bit limited is just bad word can I...say
Me and my husband had the 2-course early bird which was served within about 10 minutes of ordering. It was piping hot, very tasty and excellent value for money. I live in the local area and am pleased that this pub is in walking distance...of my home.
