Completely unpretentious, which is exactly how I like my breakfast, this place was started by four soldiers who had served in Timor and wanted to assist the local people by easing their poverty. They buy the very good quality coffee beans from them for a good price and sell them here. The place is cosy and rustic, the walls adorned with photos of the Timorese people. Service is fast and friendly, the place is clean and comfortable. The menu is pretty good and if you budget about $20 for breakfast and $5 a coffee that aught to cover it. This place was set up by former peace-keepers after they returned from service in Timor-Leste.It is a cafe with a clearly stated MISSION!!!! It is on their website read it. Wild Timor Coffee is one of those places you can walk by and simply miss it. The atmosphere is warm and cosy. The service attentive and friendly. It is a true hidden gem in Coburg and a place that I would gladly return to. Must have :- their coffees are awesome- the pulled pork burger is probably one of the best burgers around. The pork deliciously tender packed full of flavour - one not to miss.
This is a great story. young Aussie army peace-keepers on deployment in Timor found that local coffee farmers were being ripped off, so they decided to do something about it. They set up a coffee distribution business here in Melbourne to sell the farmers produce. Not only do they pay a fair price, the coffee is great, and much of their profits are plowed back into projects back in Timor.

Lucky enough to have this place as my local. I've tried many a bean on my travels through Aus and the world but this joint figured it out. A mellow vibe, bubbly staff, great food and an even better initiative. Keep it up!

Visited a few weeks ago with our young family. The food and coffee were delicious and the service was great too. Will be returning. Lots of vego and vegan options!

Wild Timor has a great menu that is good value for money. It is a beautiful cafe with friendly staff. Great for breakfast.
