Popped in for a lunchtime meal. The lunchtime menu turned out to have a very small selection (only the extensive, but not lunchtime menu, was displayed outside so it was a bit misleading). Sat down. Ordered brushetta. It turned up; one small piece of bread...and many many half tomatoes. But no cutlery. My expensive lemonade turned up (and it was warm). But then, the mozzarella and basil leafs pizza turned up. No leaves. I asked about this and got some convoluted reasons, including they may be underneath for the lack of leaves. The server went away with it, coming back with it a while later there had been no delivery of basil leaves. I ate it as I was hungry by that time. Was asked how it was...
Arrived at ordered off the express menu courses Starters arrived minutes later. We then had another wait of minutes after finishing starters before the main courses were served. Food was reasonably good but service was well below average. Certainly need...to get their kitchen staff sorted out so that they work a bit more efficiently. Not very busy as there were empty tables and we saw a table of four leave because no serving staff had come to take their order despite having sat there for minutes, Not so much an Express as a Slow Train.
A lovely restaurant with seating outside. I really like that they can open up the glass doors which makes it feel more open and spacious. The calamari starter was delicious, if a bit on the small side. My main course was the sea bass with gnocchi and arabiatta sauce and it was absolutely delicious. Tiramisu for desert was also really lovely. The service was very friendly, if a little slow. I'll definitely be back!
Sadly this Wildwood is due a refurbishment and is looking rather jaded. Wednesday lunchtime in half term week there only appeared to be two inexperienced staff on duty with no sign of any management guidance or support. Only one starter appeared, the other arrived eventually...with the main course. Food standards significantly below those we have experienced at other Wildwood restaurants.

I never leave bad reviews, as understanding how damaging it can be to a business. Although I really do give up with Wildwood, so hit and miss. Cold food, diary requirements not met after calling ahead, bland unseasoned food. It’s just not good enough for...the price you pay. Pictured a bolognese, what we ordered compared to what we got. Annoyingly I can cook better at home blind folder.
All four of us had a very good evening here, clean and comfortable, nice menu choice and excellent food....Steamed Banoffee cake pudding was outstanding...and good value for money, a great experience made better by our lovely server, she was so nice, good mix of humour...and professionalism, wished we lived nearer. Highly recommended
Chose to stop off here for a quick bite this afternoon. Service was friendly and prompt. Had the three course set menu for plus drinks. Food very good and generous portions. Have had similar elsewhere and paid more for less.
Wow. Rang up mins in advance, said we’d only stop for a few cocktails as it was my partners birthday. Arrived to balloons on the table, and beautiful service. Thank you. I believe her name was Alice

Jacek and team did a fantastic job for our daughter’s party. Loads of lovely food, great service and a perfect room. Thanks again it was brilliant!
Great Italian, very friendly staff and relaxing surroundings. Reasonably priced. Would go back to eat there
