Myself and partner met up with ³ 3 friends on their recommendation and we was NOT DISAPPOINTED we all had the home made còrned beef plate pie with proper chips mushy peas and fresh carrots and thick gravy i can tell you now if was perfection on a plate the pastry was scrummy the pub is a delight to sit in iwould say a lot of money as been spent on the refurbishments and best of all our meals cost 4.4.75p yes thats all what with the picken chicken practically next door that is at least one other reason. to visit king cross .
We go most weeks for a quiet lunch. They have a set menu and daily specials. The choice of food and quality is great and nothing costs more than £4.75 with hot drinks costing around £1. The lager is always in perfect condition and everywhere is spotlessly clean. The staff are friendly too. Surely one of the most underrated pubs in Halifax. Give it a try!

beautiful little quiet pub on kingcross didn't know that they were eating and how delicious it really was if I didn't go sick for an alcoholic drink to any case back to get something else from there eating menu the hot bark sarnie was the best thing I recommend in a very long time highy Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
I absolutely love this pub! The owner is a truly wonderful person who adds a personal touch to each customer's experience. The decor is fantastic, the beer is excellent, and it's just an overall great place. We will definitely keep coming back!
Excellent food and service very nice and clean with a really warm and positive vibe from other customers. The bar manager was very friendly polite and it was a pleasure to visit .
Lovely pub, quite traditional with a modern feel. We had pies with proper chips and mushy peas, absolutely perfect although the portions were very large! We will be returning soon
