My office just had our Xmas party here and it went very well. The function room can fit around 80 people (standing) and has its own bar so you dont need to venture up to the main bar for service. Malin who works here helped me organise the event from start to finish and nothing seemed to be to big of an ask for her, and she was always smiling and replied to my emails promptly. Food was good and arrived on time and she even let us connect our laptop to the pubs TV so that we could have a quiz and a slide show at our event, and she even let us have control of the music. so we could have our own tunes on in the venue. Thanks for everything and hopefully you will have us back next year lol.
Table for seven was booked and we were squeezed onto tables of varying height which wouldn’t normally accommodate more than six. No table ordering all food and drinks to be ordered at bar. No starters all were off. Half of the main courses were off. The pie I finally received wasn’t the one I ordered it was very nice though apart from the gravy in a side pot which was lukewarm. Chips came after the pie had been eaten. Love the pub, one of the best in the City. Food offering Weatherspoonsesque.
Second year in a row I organised a Quiz Night for our team members in the Downstair's Bar and it was outstanding ideal space, all the staff were extremely helpful given the amount of people and Malin/team very quick in responding back to questions/queries the food/drinks/timings were all great, and all of us really enjoyed it and made it such a pleasant experience Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a similar event around the City.
A lovely traditional pub with great atmosphere. Spend some time to read the articles on the walls around the bar and you’ll appreciate the significant history to the venue and area too. There’s a nice enough range of drinks on tap, prices are reasonable for the area and there’s a decently priced lunch menu. While located in a bit of an alleyway there’s a small amount of seating outside and with the friendly staff I’d certainly return. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Went back to one of my favourite pubs in London, oh how beautiful it looks at Christmas! The beer was excellent, the staff are always so friendly and welcoming. We had a bite to eat, the landlords platter went down really well. We will all definitely be back the next time we’re in London. Thank you Sabrina, Malin and staff.

Had a wonderful evening here. Good drinks, lovely food and both polite and fast stuff. Loved the atmosphere. I really recommand it!
