A hidden gem in the heart of Sydney Willis Canteen is definitely one of the best place to go for Indonesian food and to experience first hand Indonesian hospitality!The food is amazing and everyone that works there is extremely nice and very attentive. My favourite would have to be the Gado Gado, Nasi Goreng with Chicken and their Soup Iga Goreng!The idea of having the very authentic Indonesian in the heart of the city is definitely worth the visit! Will be coming back for lots more and you know it!
Always come here for lunch! Their ayam tulang lunak with green chili sauce and nasi goreng is yummy. Their portion is generous. And their staff is friendly. My colleague tried their gado gado and fell in love with Indonesian food straight away. Despite whatever racism scandal they were on previously, i really think they're trying to serve their customer better. Give it a go when you're around.
Absolutely delicious! Moreover, it's budget friendly and authentic Indonesian food. Mr. Indra the host makes customers feel welcome. Highly recommended. Far better than ALL of the Indonesian restaurants that are overpriced in the CBD.

Made to order gado2, it is the best in Sydney, very authentic, you can tell the chef how spicy and sweet you want it . Expect to wait avg 30 minutes during busy hours or weekends.
Friendly owner and good selection of food. My ultimate choice if longing for food from my home town. <br/ <br/ I love the selection of local coffee and Indo snacks here :
The gado gado was excellent. Sauce was flavoursome, and the quality of the ingredients was very good. Within 30 minutes of opening their doors, every table was full too

Delicious food “homemade” style. We ordered Migoreng with chicken — so good! The restaurant has a simple style and lovely staff.
