I totally agree with the comments of other reviewers that the quality of the seafood platter is nowhere near what it used to be. The range of seafood that was previously on the platter leaves the current platter for dead, read my previous review from...2016 which describes exactly what used to be on the platter compare this to the current menu. My recommendation to the chef to improve the platter is to stop using pre made frozen calamari rings prawn cutlets which are very ordinary ditch the creamy crab salad altogether which is really just a cheap filler bring back quality seafood. He she should base it on the original platter, see photos, that was extremely popular which I rated 5 stars but...
My family and I went here for dinner last night. We were disappointed by the quality of food and the price. Garlic bread, bruschetta, Two chicken schnitzels, a kids chicken tenders and a battered fish FOR $102!!!!! Plus $35 for 4 drinks. The chicken schnitzel...was dry and over cooked the fish was oily and when we asked for gravy they said “WE CHARGE FOR GRAVY” What club pub charges for gravy???? All the meals came out separately meaning we started and finished our meals at different times. Wouldn’t recommend will not return.
must have changed management with a new menu. use a large selection of traditional pub foods with a modern tasty twist. new menu very bland and usual. steak was hard, kartoffelmaic was rehydrated instant yuck and damped veggies were very bland. I'm sure there was a piece of frozen flower cabbage thrown into the mixture as it looked, tasted and felt nothing like the fresh flower cabbage through rest of the mix. it is no wonder that the place was quiet and not his usual busy hive. what a shame.

What a pleasant surprise! The dining experience at Tradies Gymea is fantastic with a relaxed atmosphere. The facility is great, the staff is friendly, and they don't even have poker machines! It's perfect! The menu is extensive and offers everything you could possibly want. My Prawn Risotto was amazing! The prices are also good, with a special senior menu offering a nice baked evening meal for just $12, along with many other options.
I went to this restaurant for Christmas dinner. Last year, they had a big menu board, but this year the main courses were just okay. The desserts were overly sweet. The service for clearing dirty dishes was slow. Last year, there was table service for drinks, but not this year. I may consider going back next year, but I'm not sure.
probably 45 years since I have spent the road from this place on the floor. as different from my last visit. very modern, clean, friendly place only in the caffe. decent menu and I enjoyed a halloumi and mushroomburger and a bit tee. my friends had sandwiches and smaller meals. everything seemed happy. I would definitely come back.
The last 2 times family have dined here the quality of the food was nowhere near what it used to be. Plenty of other places in the nearby vicinity are much better and would have to think hard and long before I dined here again.
