Geraldo. I have been going there for years, and one of the best things was the staff and energy. I went on Thursday evening, and ordered the Club Sandwich, specifying the Turkey Club. I waited for the food to be done, and when it arrived I was suspicious as it was too small of a bag, after all I have been eating them for over 12 years. I asked the kitchen if they were club sandwiches, and he said no they were Turkey Sandwiches. I then had to wait another 5 minutes for the person who took my order to get up from a table she was sitting at with people , as no one else can do anything. I recently had my first meal at this restaurant with my friend Zia, who I want to thank for the recommendation. The food was delicious and it's clear that the quality is top-notch. I ordered Wimpy's Famous Burger, which was huge and absolutely delicious. It was so big that it fell apart while I was eating, but that didn't take away from how tasty it was. I eat at this location once a week and just love it. The food is fresh, hot and delish. The staff are awesome, eager to please, quick and they remember the names and favourite dishes of regulars. Great variety, old diner feel I only wished there was one near where I lived. The high school kids would love it for lunch, families for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and the club crowd would love the after hours (24/7) option as there isn't anything similar on the strip between Lansdowne and Christie on St. Clair. If you ever place one in the area don't go small in the seating and have a larger takeout area to handle the student lunch hours (there are 4 schools in the immediate area.
This location of Wimpy's seems to be one of the busier ones. In the past, when we were in the neighbourhood and thought we might stop in, several times we have decided not to wait and found some other place to eat. This evening we only had to wait about 15 minutes for a table for three of us.<br/ <br/ SWMBO had the regular size Greek Salad with Grilled Chicken, which is one of her favourites. I've been here a few times and I have to say, I really like it. The food is always fresh and hot and the portions are reasonable. Not keen on having food stuck to my cutlery though. Despite that, they serve the best pancakes I've had since visiting the Original Pancake House in Buffalo. I haven't tried anything other than breakfast so I can't speak for the rest of the menu but considering I enjoy breakfast anytime, Wimpy's works for me.
I had a great experience for breakfast at this restaurant. I went for an early morning meal and it was bustling, but not overwhelmingly crowded. I ordered the early bird special and was pleasantly surprised by the delicious food and affordable price. My friend and I both got breakfast for just $10 - a fantastic deal! The home fries were especially tasty and the retro atmosphere added to the charm of the place.
Wimpy's at this location is the best! I visit for breakfast occasionally and I always have a great experience. The staff is very friendly, the service is fast, and my order is always made to perfection.
