waited over an hour for a table we booked for Christmas dinner, but that was good because the atmosphere and the environment were good. even though they were very kindly supportive of the few employees they had. ordered a 3-course Xmas dinner for 4 adults and a few nibbles like pigs in cover and bee kartoffels previously paid online before our visit. Unfortunately we didn't get our children, but didn't complain because I could see the personal under pressure. the actual meal was very nice, exactly the correct amount and so no complaining there. overall the staff was a very nice facility, the staff was friendly and the eating was very good. we love to come here, eating is good quality and generous portions. it has a nice atmosphere. we went to dinner last Wednesday and had a few drinks and was surprised to learn that they were a quiz night on Wednesday, so we joined what was fun and was an additional bonus to an already great experience. the manager is a really nice guy who hostes the quiz, but also made time to introduce himself and have a little chat with us at the end of the evening. will definitely go back.
be a fair couple times, always a good experience. friendly staff and good food. they have a pizza oven that I would definitely recommend to get a pizza. otherwise there is a good chance that they will come out of the microwave at dinner. Unfortunately they don't make any more calzone, including the much sought-after rocky road calzone dessert, but quite everything from the pizza menu is great.
Lovely pub, popped in just for a drink and really enjoyed our visit. The service was excellent and the prices were reasonable. We didn't eat but the food looked great so we will be going back to try it out soon. The barman was a good laugh and very welcoming. Top scores for this boozer and well worth a visit if you're in the area.
