Been going here all my life and albeit people will perhaps praise the take aways in their own area but this is by far the best! The Wing Wah has survived generations of competition with new take aways opening and closing their doors. You'd only need to try phoning an order on a busy weekend night and you'll quickly realise how popular it is (a constant engaged tone demonstrates its' popularity and often means you'll just need to place your order in the shop). The Wing Wah is most definitely the most experienced and best Chinese take away in Glasgow's east end! *this is not a restaurant as the photo posted would suggest, it is a small take away shop which may look off putting from its exterio...
Ordered a family takeaway from the Wing Wah last weekend. Myself and my family have been ordering from this takeaway for many many years and have always loved it. However, the past 2 takeaways have been extremely poor. The chicken curry is, and always has been, excellent. I also ordered duck with ginger and spring onions which was tasteless and FULL of fat. The whole lot went in the bin! Similarly, the special chow mein was absolutely tasteless and a complete waste of money. That too went in the bin. All in all, I was almost £40 for a takeaway and most of it went in the bin! Very disappointed.
I ordered the Deep fried crispy chicken with chilli sauce and it was by far the WORST I have ever had. For starters the restaurant states the chicken is ‘crispy’ when in actual fact it is so soft I could barely feel my teeth going through it. That is far from the worst thing about it though, it was completely and utterly tasteless and bland beyond belief. I tried so hard to like it but just couldn’t and even tried adding soy sauce myself as well as sweet chilli sauce which it should’ve tasted like in the first place but nothing could improve this dish. Absolutely pathetic will never be back!!
We have been ordering from Wing Wah for years and always enjoyed it. However, in the past few times we have ordered the chicken curry, the salt levels have been unbearable. This completely ruins the meal for us, especially since we do not typically add salt to our food as it is not good for you in excess. We are not sure why the salt levels have increased so much, but it has made us reconsider using Wing Wah again in the future. We kindly request that they reduce the amount of salt in their dishes.

Staff are so rude I ordered a chicken curry and chicken maryland but was delivered a chicken omelette instead,I phoned to complain and was told to give the omelette back in exchange for the maryland which I did but got told at the door I owed money. I don't eat omelettes so wasn't in the wrong as stated and a dinner ruined not even an apology never again such rude staff as well would rather give money elsewhere!!!!!!
The curry at this restaurant is excellent, earning a rating of 9 out of 10. The salt and chilli chips are even better, receiving a perfect score of 10 out of 10. The customers are also top-notch. Additionally, the prawn crackers are delicious.
Have had a take away curry from here quite a few times , this is my husbands favourite even though its 7 miles from where we live, he gets the chicken curry or the chicken black bean sauce . The service and food are always good .
Absolutely awful meal with stale, inedible chips that were at least a day old. The curry was extremely dry and the chips were so hard you could bounce them off a wall. Will never be returning to this restaurant again.

The shop may not look like much but the food is too die for, my family have been going hear for 30+ years and still use it and I don't plan on changing that anytime soon :D It will be the best Chinese you've had!
