Always a favourite with taxi drivers and bouncers,tells you portions are big. This time I ordered vegetable chow mein with curry sauce topping. At 5.40 sterling it was value. Unfortunately I had forgotten this is not their best dish. It comes swimming a soya sauce and is not nice. Not a lot of veg either. But for just pver the price of a fish,where else cuuld you find such value. There are no airs or graces. Go to counter,order,pay and sit down at one of the sticky tables,carved with so many names. This place was actually pretty surprising. My husband and I were looking for a late night snack so we left our hotel room around 12.30 am in search of some good grub. I was really craving some curry so we decided to sit in at the wok oriental. The man behind the till was very pleasant and patient. The snack deal on the front of the menu seemed ideal so we ordered that and I was expecting it to come in a polystyrene container but it came on a proper plate with proper cutlery which was actually quite nice. I would have given this restaurant 5 stars, but the wait for the food was quite slow. I ordered the king prawn kung Po with cashew nuts and boiled rice. It took a long time to arrive, but it was a Friday night around 7pm so I understand. In terms of originality, the kung Po was lacking as it didn't have any celery and the flavor was more like a chili sweet and sour sauce with carrots and onions. However, the battered king prawns were tasty and there was a good portion size. The server was friendly and the dish was a bargain at £7.50. I would recommend trying it.
Taxi drivers and bouncers eat here as portions are big and reasonably priced and open very late. I had sweet and sour king prawns with boiled rice. Took a wee bit longer but arrived steaming hot. Beautiful and lots of rice. Very satisfying. You order and pay at counter before you sit at basic tables and chairs. Nothing fancy here. Just good value Chinese food.

For a cheap Chinese this place delivers. I got the plum duck which had a lot of fat but still tasty. Got it with noodles cheaper than two pints!! Been here for years and years you can eat in til the small hours. If you want a really big meal get chicken ball meal half chips half rice with either curry or sweet and sour sauce!!
got a collection got it home and main meal was missing had to go back to get it or wait 45 mins for delivery the rest of the food was not nice the chicken even if it was chicken was disgusting absolutely disappointed worst 28 pound I've spent on food never again and don't recommend theyre heads are in the clouds in the place
My friends and I come to this restaurant about once a month and we absolutely love it. Last night, I accidentally left my phone behind, but when I returned, Nicole had kindly kept it safe for me. I was extremely grateful for her attentiveness. Thank you, Nicole!
The restaurant has a shared restroom with no hand soap, which is disgusting. The food was delicious, however I ordered the house special chow mein but was disappointed by the lack of meat and prawns. It seemed more like a vegetarian dish.

The staff were amazing and made helpful recommendations. This is not a fine dining experience. We wanted good cheap food and that is what we got. The portions were large. You know its good when you can see the locals eating there.
