I have ordered from Woks many times and it is definitely the best Chinese restaurant in Tyldesley. A couple of things that prevent me from giving it a perfect 5/5 rating are the prices, especially when ordering for multiple people with different preferences. The set menus can sometimes be more cost-effective, but I have noticed slight price increases on individual items which can add up. It would also be nice to see some cheaper prices for collection orders. Additionally, when I have gone in to pick up my food, I have noticed that the staff prioritize answering the phone over serving customers in person. Despite these minor issues, I still highly recommend Woks as I have never had a bad meal...
The best thing about this Chinese restaurant is the generous portion sizes and great flavors. The dishes are not drowning in sauce, which I appreciate. The only downside is that they use paper bags for takeout, causing some of the liquid from the food to leak out. This can be a hassle, especially since the restaurant is a 20-minute drive away. Despite this, the food is definitely worth the trip.
Undoubtedly, this is the best Chinese takeout on this side of China. You never have to wait more than 10 minutes, the food is always delicious and generous in portion size. Highly recommended for a satisfying Chinese takeout experience.
