Man, Pre-COVID I would have given the world as kudos as it is now, my hat of Wolcott 's and especially the General Manger Matt. My wife and I lived in the area until two years ago and recently moved to the driving distance of the area. Occasionally we have reason to visit the area, and on our last trip we decided to have a drink in downtown. Our first station was in a place that was boundless ruin ( apparently we were not hipster enough). After we never tried next door to Wolcott when we lived in the area, we decided to try it because several parties still eat in the 2100 hour. Stopped in town for lunch and was recommended to eat at this restaurant. We are adventurous so we walked there. Waitress took our order and brought our drinks and then about 15 minutes later she came back to tell us about the specials. Then she said Oh I think I took your order already. She then said she never put it in and we can order a special still. We declined. Our order took about a 45 min to arrive. The burger my husband ordered was raw. The fish was ok, and fries were good. The best two things were the patio seating and the iced tea. Felt a bit let down by the experience.
Great atmosphere. Smaller indoor kitchen. The screened terrace is cozy, music was great. Not too loud. The staff and the menu are great. You should definitely match your menu to what is available bc the description on the menu not completely match what came out. Still delicious, but it would be very convenient if the menu reflects what was available for the night. Also more transparent with the portions is the $40 premium steak 6-8 oz?10 oz? 12 oz? Will the duck be just one leg? Quarter? Half a duck?
Enjoy our experience! Not for younger children and it is a very small dinning room, but very friendly, helpful with the menu, and quite good food. We went to lunch, so if you went to dinner, I would suggest reservations. There are smaller plate options (appearants) that you want to share a few if you are not interested in your own private dish or they have full meals that are also good. We enjoyed the special and a small appetizer. Will be back, but more for a date environment.
My wife and I had an early dinner somewhere else and took all in downtown Christmas decoration. We saw that the lights still appeared and entered this picturesque restaurant/bar. We were immediately welcomed and put on our request. We could smell the most wonderful lobster bisque behind us, but decided on homemade cheesecake with a Blueberry Compot. It was the perfect end we were looking for. We would recommend the dessert here.

Southern Pines best restaurant. Their red wine steak and salmon were nothing short of amazing. The location is small, there really isn't a greeting location and the server's can be hit or miss, but their food is always special and makes up for any perceived shortcoming.
Absolutely loved this place. Super cozy, amazing staff, and delicious food. Devona was our server and she was amazing and provided such good service and recommendations. Highly recommend.
