Busy all day in the garden, we decided to chill out and order a chinese takeaway from Wondercook. Ordered a house special curry with boiled rice with a Gung Po beef! We also had some prawn crackers to dip in the curry sauce. We had a delivery which they said would take an hour ad they were very busy. We chilled in the garden with some drinks while we wanted in the sun in the patio area. The food arrived about an hour and 15 minutes after we ordered but as we were chilling, we wasnt in a rush. Food was hot on arrival and was delicious. The best curry is from Wondercook
I have been frequenting this restaurant for quite some time and have always had a good experience. However, my recent visit was disappointing. I placed an order over the phone for pick-up in 45 minutes and it was ready on time. I ordered spare ribs and a special curry with fried rice, as well as chicken in orange sauce. The spare ribs were alright but quite fatty. Unfortunately, the special curry was terrible. It did not taste fresh and had a strange flavor. I ended up throwing it away. I do not plan on returning to this restaurant again.
The reception area looked worn out and dirty. There were stacks of boxes and clutter behind the counter, along with dirty ceiling tiles. Despite having a large menu, they only accepted cash payments. I ordered my meal over the phone and it was ready on time. I tried the Beef with Ginger and Salt, but was disappointed with the small, bland, and greasy pieces of beef. It did not meet my expectations and I won't be returning.
Telephone staff very pollute advised me about 45 m inuite wait but 90 minutes later it turned up the telephone staff after ringing again saying it was a mix up with the drivers and when the food arrived I played the driver and she asked me if I wanted the change and it was a £5 change as well and chicken was wrong as well even though it's nice food imonlynorder from here as my regular is closed

1st time ordering as was recommended to me and I was very Disappointed. unfortunately I won’t be ordering from here again chips soggy and luke warm and tasted like they had been cooked in old fat. I asked for chilli and salt chicken got chewy strips of chicken smothered in black pepper i contacting wonder cook via messenger and was ignored so that it for me NEVER AGAIN !!
As soon as I tasted those chips, I knew i'd never go to a different cantonese restaurant again. They have have so much choose and everything i've had has been amazing. The smell that hits you when you open those doors makes you want to order everything on the menue!
Great Chinese takeaway, so much choice from the menu, plenty for vegetarians too. Been having takeaways from Wondercook for the last 20 years and never been disappointed. Local delivery service too and free prawn crackers for large orders
After two decades of patronizing this establishment, I had a negative experience with the chef/owner who refused to discuss my complaint regarding a small portion of pork curry. However, the phone staff and delivery team were excellent.

Awful food. One dish missing from the delivery. All dishes were swamped in garlic! Not even the chips were eaten. Never again!
we love getting takeaways from wonder cook as they do a good servce and when we get it its nice and hot
