We are locals and were looking for a night out where we didn't need to cross the highway. It's been years since going to Woodchoppers so thought we would give it a go feeling excited about the possibility of finding a regular local restaurant. The wine and beer were excellent but the food was a disappointment. I had pulled pork which other than being luke warm was full of fat. I thought the slow cooking technique would get rid of the fat. It was also really tough. My husband had lamb which had been cooked for 18 hours. It was covered on sickly sauce so didn't taste like lamb and was also luke warm. It wasn't a good dish. had lunch on 16-8-17 with 2 friends, rather small menu, but can handle that.my friends fish was terrible(her words) salad was limp and appeared old, she ate 1/3 of her meal.Other friend ordered burger also not liked and she ate 1/3 of her meal.I ordered chicken casserole which looked like the inside of a pie?! Brown in colour with FAR to much pepper!! I could only eat my chips.We were surprised staff made no comment with almost full plates removed from table! Of course still had to pay same price, all in all I paid $14,- for a handful of chips. Never AGAIN !!
Dont get me wrong the ribs were OK but they didn't appear to be slow cooked (to be fair they didn't advertise that they were) which was disappointing. Other than that everything else was great, staff were excellent. Will definitely go back but wont have ribs.
The restaurant is pleasant enough. We had very good service from the staff throughout the meal. The meal itself was good to average (we both had the ribs and salad) and the price was high. We do not have anything bad to say but we will not be back.

This used to be nice. Practically a gastro pub. These days it's more like an RSL, in look, feel and quality. But the prices have not dropped accordingly. Disappointing. It was previously a nice local place to eat. Mudgeeraba badly needs a nice pub.
Wow...just wow!!! Service was top shelf with friendly helpful staff and the food was so good. So tasty, tender, fresh...so much variety and great quality! We will come back without a doubt!
The new menu is great and our selection of smoked choices was delicious.Best Pub food I have had in a long time.Will definitely be back:)))))))))
Best pulled pork this side of the border. Guaranteed. Host was very friendly too! Dined mid-week and was made to feel very welcome.

Food expensive and very average. Had the NY Strip and Pork Ribs. Steak was over cooked and Ribs had no taste. Wouldn't recommend.
We used to come here for a beer or two with "chicken parma" - this combination is great and I recommended it.. Now we are vegan
