My husband and I had arranged to meet a pizza loving friend, who’d been curious to taste the wood fired offerings. It was a temperate early summer day, but although there were plenty of picnic tables, there was not very much shade available from the umbrellas —plus we’d have to contend with traffic noise from York Road so we opted to eat in the small dark dining room. Our server was friendly and prompt. The covers on the menu binders have cheerful hand drawn inserts by local children, which adds a nice homey touch but in our post Covid age I’ll be happy once QR menus have replaced the sticky plastic ones that make me feel the need to pull out the hand sanitizer. After my 100+ visits, I realized I never wrote a review, so I had to fix that! Always a great experience. I personally love the food and variety of options. Menu changes seasonally, and has something for everyone I've taken there. Even better, in the COVID lock down, Tom has his awesome staff offering pick up orders. The food is still as awesome, and the attention to safety makes it a very low stress trip out to pick up the food. I'm glad he doesn't deliver or I'd forget how to cook! I'm very happy to have Wood Fire Kitchen in our community.
This restaurant struggles with handling high volumes of orders, and the quality of food is inconsistent. One pizza might be amazing, while the next one is undercooked. Additionally, I've had the coldest fries and hamburger I've ever eaten here. The kitchen is trying to manage too many menu items, which affects their ability to deliver high-quality meals consistently. A smaller, well-executed menu would significantly improve the dining experience.
Owner told me to turn my phone off when I was in the middle of a phone call while waiting for my food. I was polite and hung up the call. Then intentionally made the food disgusting. Mind you I was not talking loud at all on the phone but apparently inside voice on a speakerphone is too loud for a restaurant. It’s not like me to put a bad review but this was uncalled for. I really like this place. I've never even had the pizza but the cheesesteak is really good so I just keep getting that. Staff is always friendly and it's off the beaten path in a cool location with outdoor dining if that's your thing. Next time I will try the pizza is what I always say but I'll probably get another cheesesteak.
A hidden gem! We were met with wonderful attentive service right away. Food was excellent. Our server was great, unsure of her name as receipt said “Common” as name, but if her name was Common, thanks for a wonderful meal! We will be back soon!
Stopped in for Mother’s Day. Great food and friendly service. Really cozy atmosphere, nice place to grab some good food. The fig pizza sounded interesting and was a good choice. Definitely recommend stopping in.
I love this place, you can pick any menu item and won't be disappointed. My favs... sausage, fig, brie pizza on thin crust, mussels, burgers of any type and the fried pickles are amazing. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
