Emma has always made us (group of 5 old boys )very welcomed and creates some of the old world charm of being part of the community, often missing in many pubs these days. The food is good and very reasonably priced plus served quickly. The pub has a friendly atmosphere that the customers all warm to. Well done to the management and staff in these trying times somewhere everyone can relax and have a good chat, food and a beer.
Went for lunch sat outside under cover area as our friend having chemo cannot mix inside.Service excellent as food Ordered of lunch menu.We decided to have a pudding which was advertised as £3. When we went to order was told no it £4.75.you have to order same time as main for deal.There is absolutely nothing on menu to say this .So very misleading and disappointing. This should be explained on menu
A lovely pitstop, staff were very pleasant and friendly. Food was great and served very quickly. Also I would like to give a big shout out to a very special female staff member that attended to my mother who collapsed on the premises, a big thank you, it meant a lot you were attentive to her needs, much appreciated. Myself and 3 friends had an early Christmas dinner yesterday. It was a truly excellent meal with table decorations, Santa hats and crackers included. Best feature- the garden. Large, plenty of tables, plenty of sunshine and shade. Just be a bit careful when u sit down some of the tables are a bit old and if u have a slightly large derriere, well, my top tip, go and ask for a chair!
A special thank you to the waitress who served our cake requirements at the outdoor pavilion today (13/11/2022), impressed on the care and initiative taken. Thank you to the Woodman, a very dog friendly pub.
A locals pub early evenings, well overdue for a fresh menu change, garden at the back, but gets shady in the back as sun sets at front of pub. Dog friendly, dog treats sometimes at end of bar.
Visited the Woodman for the first time on a Tuesday 3pm ish. Attentive staff, food good and reasonably priced. It was nice and cool sitting inside. I would recommend and we will be returning. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
An attractive spot with big garden and next to playground if one has nippers. Selection of beers are ok with Sussex on. Staff are a bit hit and miss so was hoping for better.
