Xi'an is home to one of my favorite styles of Chinese cuisine, and I love that it's easily accessible in Melbourne. Not all Xi'an restaurants are very vegetarian-friendly, but this one offers plenty of options. The roujiamo, similar to a burger, is a popular dish here with various vegetarian options such as egg or potato. It's a must-try item. I also enjoy the "giant" egg and leek dumpling and the egg and tomato stew served over hand-cut noodles. Just a heads up, the noodles were a bit al dente when I ordered them for delivery, but everything else was great.
This restaurant in Melbourne is a hidden gem! After trying various Xian restaurants in Perth, we were excited to try the Xian cuisine in Melbourne. Despite missing out on some dishes during our first visit due to the Mandarin menu, we were not disappointed during our second visit. With the assistance of Google Images and the helpful staff, we discovered the delicious Biang Biang noodle. The lamb cumin and pork burger are also a must-try for any fan of Xi'an food. Don't miss out on this fantastic dining experience!
This restaurant satisfied our craving for Xianese food! It was a peaceful Saturday lunch and the staff were very friendly. The prices were fair and the food was absolutely delicious. We spent $33 on 2 cold noodles, 2 meat-filled 'burgers', and a large portion of garlic cucumber pickles. We will definitely be returning soon for more! P.S. We're not sure if serving dishes in Tupperware is a COVID precaution, but we would have preferred plates. However, the food was so tasty that it didn't really matter.
Lamb with cumin and chili rou his mo (Chinese burger) was enjoyable. The texture and juiciness reminded me of Mexican carnitas with a gamey flavour from the lamb. Been here many, many times and the food is always spot on. We always get the rou jia mo 肉夹馍 chinese pork burger), the yang rou pao mo 羊肉泡馍 steamed buns soaked in lamb soup) and liang pi 凉皮 cold noodles). Cheap prices great service lovely and cosy atmosphere. 100% recommend.
