Xunta is one of my favorite restaurants in the West Essex area. Come for the addicting patacas bravas and chourizo a prancha; stay for the gracious warmth and hospitality that makes you feel right at home. I don't agree with some of the reviews here. Food was excellent. We had the spicy potatoes, chorizo, shrimp, scallops, steak, pork stew? and some other items I don't remember. Minor quibble. Server was SO nice. Atmosphere cute, but a bit empty. Food OK. They charged us $5 for bread (which you have to ask for) to dip in the shrimp/mussel sauce; not sure I have ever seen that before and you will never see that in a traditional tapas eatery (e.g., Newark).
