I ordered takeout on Tuesday, September 3, 2023, via Uber Eats. The delivery was smooth, and the food arrived warm. However, upon trying the chicken fried rice, I was disappointed to find that it was burnt. The chicken was crispy on all sides and incredibly dry, and the rice contained burnt pieces as well. The only component with any moisture was the onions, which were also slightly burnt. Everything else in the dish was so dry that I struggled to finish it without choking. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be ordering from this restaurant again, as I'm not sure how such a poor-quality dish was even allowed to leave the kitchen.
I had a truly disappointing experience at this restaurant over the weekend. It took 30 minutes for our appetizer to arrive, which turned out to be small, overcooked fried spring rolls instead of the fresh rolls we ordered. We then waited an additional 15 minutes for water served in dirty cups and our two banh mi sandwiches. The sandwiches were soggy, and the tofu was over-fried. To top it off, we had to wait until after we finished our meal to receive the coffee and tea we ordered, which made our lunch take 75 minutes overall. The service was slow, unwelcoming, and rather odd. Overall, I would rate the food a 1 out of 5.
The food here is phenomenal! My sister and I got a bowl of chicken pho. I’ve gone to so many places to find a quality bowl of pho and by far this is the best. Not a lot to say, it was average. We started off with spring rolls, they were decent. My daughter ordered pho and it was alright. My banh mi took the longest to come out, it was also alright. It was our first time at Xuyen Vietnamese for a quick meal. Service was very good fast. We enjoyed the Chicken Fried rice and Shrimp spring rolls. They were both very good! We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at this restaurant! The egg rolls were delightful, the pho was excellent, and the vegetables were fresh and beautifully presented. We also appreciated the casual and relaxed atmosphere, along with the friendly service. It was very cozy on a chilly evening!

This is truly the worst food I have ever tasted! I wouldn't even feed it to my dogs! I strongly advise against this restaurant, whether you're driving by or considering it on DoorDash, Uber Eats, or any other food delivery service in the Kansas City, Missouri area.
