Fantastic spot in St.James serving Palestinian and middle eastern cuisine! The salads are so hearty and flavourful. Generous portions and very wallet friendly. Everything we ordered was fresh, hot, and delicious! The shakshouka eggs with the warm bread and warm meaty manakeesh (must try! You can get several small dishes and make a meal out of it!The art and decor inside of the restaurant sets this place apart— so many colours and traditional pieces and trinkets. Atmosphere is great as well. You can tell the owners have put a lot of time and consideration into making this space representative of their home country.Vegetarian options: Many vegetarian options
The food at the Yafa Cafe is as good as any I have tried in the Middle East. Who would have thought Winnipeg would have it? Palestinian owned with stellar food quality. I have lived in the Middle East for over a decade, and I would use this restaurant to introduce anyone to Middle Eastern cuisine. Great range of dishes on the menu. Mhammara (spicy pepper) dip and fatoush salad to start with msakhan chicken, falafel, and sayadia fish dishes as mains. So delicious! What a gem of a find in Winnipeg!
Absolutely delicious and full-feeling!! We’ve ordered 1. mhammara (spicy paste, came with some pastry , 2. zaatar onion tomato (non-spicy “pizza” , 3. falafels, and I forgot if it was 4. Kabab/Shawarma (we ordered beef version, it was spicy and 5. americano/Arabic coffee Dallas (we ordered a large version, so that we can share; it came in a set with some pastry and candy . Super happy that we chose to explore this store, great taste, great experience, and great service:
I spotted this place as we drove by, the front really stood out and I immediately googled it. It is a really cool setting with authentic smells, artifacts and the whole family sat around the table as we walked in. The food was very tasty and generous portions. It is inexpensive and very much worth every cent. I will recommend this place to everyone and will certainly return.

Great deal to get all day Arabic breakfast by Doordash delivery just for only 20 dollars in first order!The sage tea is so fragrant and refreshing. Helps me to re-energize and rejuvenate. The falafels are so divine. The rest of the dishes are damn excellent.I think this cafe will be more of a hit if they have all day Mediterranean buffet.
Really good food. Highly recommend. I love the selection of hot and cold drinks. The menu is unique from other restaurants. The price is good too. Very affordable. It feels like I traveled enjoying unique Arabic cuisine. It is such a gem that is worthy to visit. I will definitely come back and try other dishes in the menu.Food: 5/5
Variety of coffees available. Menu has a lot of hummus with different accouterment. Had lunch, so small plate warm appetizers. Filling, flavourful food. Service was lacking in attentiveness but helpful with menu questions.Food: 4/5
