fantastic little pub, I had the mixed grill my wife had the sampi, both cooked to perfection and the portions were on place, drinks wise I can highly recommend the shambles bitter excellent taste and a really good session beer. the staff is really great, friendly and helpful....who will definitely use again. only on the side I had. it's a dog friendly pub....not in the rule a problem for me, a dog owner himself, but that said I don't want dogs to puff and pan next to me while I eat my meal
Love this place and we always visit when we are in York. Husband loves the cake and muddy peas and I love the plowman, everything fantastic and service is always fabulous. Beer garden is great to watch people with a beer or two or just cool and listen to live music when they have some. It's worth a visit.
great place. beautiful eating and the staff are amazing. I and a friend were here on Wednesday and could not have asked for something better! made to feel welcome from the beginning to the end! we come back. Love and happiness from a half of the saunen girl in the corner:
what a jewellery piece! great reception on entering, attentive staff and ate outside the early evening in a beautiful heated area. Eating was great, cooked at home and piping hot. would highly recommend.
What a great place this is. They have their own brewed beer that is well kept and very nice, I had four just to make sure!! Really friendly staff and a great atmosphere.
