Service at Yellowbird in West Roxbury is disappointing. I normally don't write negative reviews, but I have to warn anyone considering ordering takeout from this restaurant. The person who answered the phone was incredibly rude. When I tried to make a change to my online order, I was told they were too busy to look for it and that all the food was already being prepared. Despite being charged for my order (which I can see on my account statement), they claimed they had no record of it and advised me to contact the company for a refund, even though the order was made through their website. Their quickest menu items are like the best KFC items, only cooked to order, so much tastier and fresher, even if the wait is a little longer. Their dinners are kind of like Boston Market fare, very comparable. If you select carefully among the side dishes, you will have a very decent meal. Love the bird 's nest fries, and the customized grilled chicken sandwiches (fresh onion tomato, chipotle mayo). Greens and sweet potato are good sides. Locally-owned, so they seem to care a bit more. 98% take-out: I 've never seen anyone sitting and eating inside, though that is possible.
Not sure where these bad reviews came from. This food is exactly what you’re looking for out of a fried chicken joint. The chicken is fantastic. I saw a few people say it was too salty. Perhaps, but I like well-seasoned food. Sides are great, especially the mac cheese and fast food style fries. The prices are also very fair. A good-sized Buffalo chicken sandwich for $7.99 is a steal these days.
Pathetic Customer Service order was received without the condiments called back when the restaurant was open and call went to voice mail. Buffalo Fingers were cold and overcooked. Do not order from them. This has happened before and it will be the last time for me.

Very disappointed I ordered the 6 wings meal. Not worth $17. The rinky dinky small portions. It actually was 6 wingetts. Three chicken wings broken in two. I ordered mashed potatoes as a side. It look like stuffing, the corn bread was all broken up. waste of money.
eating is always amazing. I always get the chicken fingers, kartoffels, gravur, mais and maisbrot. they expect to eat in their car or house, as this place is small and not furnished for dunes.
The food was not good. The chicken had so much garlic powder on it to mask the unfreshness of the food. My family was sick after eating the food.
The wings are a pleasant size yet it's somewhat pungent. The equivalent with the shoestring fries and onion strings. The staff is well disposed.
