It was my first time here as I was meeting an old friend. Chicken Mandi, Chicken Akdah and Lamb Broth were ordered. The food came surprisingly fast.1. Mandi Chicken was tender but rice was missing the aromas and flavours. 4 Stars.2. Akdah It was good and we enjoyed it. It came with a big Naan which we could not finish. Next I shall try Lamb Akdah. 5 Stars.3. Lamb Broth Disappointed as it was mere had any meat flavour. It was more watery. 2 Stars.This review might be updated if I find the food improved in my next visit. Until then, please enjoy here as I heard the lamb dishes are delicious.
First time trying Yemeni food and it will not be my last! I honestly have never tried Middle Eastern food as much as I'd like to and the flavors were still familiar but unique, even if you just like sauteed food or high quality meats this is THE PLACE. I highly recommend these dishes pictured Beef Kabsah and Moofa fish. I don’t eat fish normally but the fish dish here tasted so good.

We've been visiting this place regularly during this year and each time the food was amazing. The staff is friendly, especially Vlada.Fish is definitely one of the best we've had in Calgary, very authentic!Yemeni Village is probably the only place so far where we had consistently great service and the food was delicious every single time.

Legitimately one of the best places me and my wife have ate. We got the Moofa fish, chicken Mandi, and Yemeni styled egg.The fish and egg were the stars of the show, just simply incredible. The lemon mint tea was outstanding as well. Our host/waitresses were welcoming, friendly, and helpful.
The food here is outstanding in terms of quality, quantity, and flavor! I highly recommend the lamb mendi, beef kabsa, and salta, among many other dishes. The desserts are also fantastic! You must try the special Masub—it's amazing! For vegetarian options, the salta is a great choice.
The food is excellent, and the atmosphere is wonderful. However, the service could use some improvement; the wait time was lengthy, and my order was missing, even though the restaurant wasn't busy—it seemed like a simple human error. Despite that, I will definitely return.
I had the charred beef, with bread, which was delicious. Our waitresses (Afaf and Sumaya) were so patient and helpful in explaining dishes and making suggestions. I have never been to a Yemeni restaurant before, but I’m glad I gave it a try!

I met the owner, Mr. Anas, and he was very friendly and welcoming. The food is delicious! I highly recommend this place. We traveled all the way from Edmonton and wish they would open a branch there.
Tried chicken kabsah and it was delicious. Their portion size is good. The server Afafa was a delight. She was prompt and courteous.
