Met up with a friend here after hearing about her rave about the place. Really like the limited menu of just cheung fun and porridge. It definitely has that hong kong diner feel and taste. My favorite are the shrimp cheung fun and the thousand year old egg porridge. I also got the Hong Kong milk tea and my hubby got the soy milk. My friend got the lemon ice tea. Yin Ji is very well-known for their Chang Fen (rice rolls) in China. This restaurant maintains the same high food standard for both their Chang Fen and congee. If you are a fan of Chang Fen and congee, you should definitely give Yin Ji a try. With several locations in Pleasanton, this place offers great food, service, and atmosphere. They accept credit cards, but do not include tips on the check like other restaurants, so be sure to remember to tip your waitress for their excellent service. I recently had the pleasure of dining at Yin Ji restaurant in Pleasanton, and it completely exceeded my expectations. The fish porridge that they serve is absolutely phenomenal. The fish was cooked perfectly, and the porridge had a rich and comforting flavor that warmed my heart. Their rice rolls were equally impressive, being incredibly light and filled with delicious toppings. The blend of flavors and textures in both dishes was truly exceptional. Great service and short wait time. The food is pretty flavorful but they put lettuce in it which is something not as common. If you're looking for the Hong Kong style one then this is not it but still tastes good though. The milk tea is on the sweeter side so ask for less sweet but the tea base is good. The lemon tea is authentic without the bitterness from the lemon and not dry on the mouth. Overall, this place is good and worth a try

Decided on a cold day that I wanted jook and rice noodles. Saw this place on Yelp and wanted to try it. Didn't disappoint at all with different or customized rice rolls and jook. I settled on the pork and egg jook along with a shrimp beef cilantro rice roll. The rice roll was packed with beef and shrimp and a good portion. I really like this place, food is good and prices are super reasonable.
Food service was quick! We ordered shrimp and BBQ pork rice noodle rolls, Liwan Style assorted congee, and house special beef brisket. The noodle rolls are great! My personal favorite is the brisket, super tender!
I have visited this restaurant multiple times and their service is outstanding. It's a great spot for a lighter meal. I highly recommend trying their Cha siu chang fen, which I would rate 10 out of 10.
Not bad for rice rolls. The congee isn't bad but it's quite pricey for the size. Good congee is hard to come by, let alone congee. ?

Generally authentic but the rice roll can be a bit better than this. I wish they have add Chinese daikon in the beef stew.
