I was recommended Yoku Ono by a local, who described the experience as "a big warm hug"—and I couldn't agree more! Located in a side street of Prahran, this hidden gem is easily missed if you're not paying attention. On a cold night in Melbourne, my anticipation was high. I had the Black Sugar Plum wine, which was sweeter than I expected but still enjoyable. The pork belly bao for entree was delicious, and I could have easily eaten another. The Yoku Ono Chicken Thigh Ramen for main was a party in my mouth, with perfectly balanced flavors. Booking ahead is essential due to the small size of the restaurant. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be returning. It's truly a must-visit...
Nestled in the charming streets of Prahran, this restaurant is a hidden gem. The food is exceptional, with the chicken karaage bao standing out as the best I’ve ever tasted – I could live off of it! The Tan Tan Sesame ramen was also incredibly delicious. Despite being busy, the waitstaff were delightful and made the experience memorable. My only criticism is that our cocktails arrived at the same time as our food, making it difficult to fully enjoy the fantastic drink. My partner and I will definitely return and will be sure to bring friends along to try the amazing Yoku Ono.
This restaurant offers authentic ramen with a delicious broth and generous portions of succulent pork belly. I highly recommend the Yuko Ono Ramen! The side dishes are delicious, the service is warm and friendly, and the yuzu cocktails are refreshing. The ambience is cozy and inviting.
This place is tucked away in a side street, you would never find it by accident. So it must be doing well, because it was packed on a quiet Sunday evening. The broth is really good, quality ingredients, you can’t go wrong!
