Being locals in Cairns, we have been searching for a good authentic Asian restaurant to dine. We love Asian food and have tried so many restaurants but until we found Yummy Noodle restaurant we finally experienced a place which serves excellent Vietnamese food. It's right Vietnamese flavour I must say! Just exactly what we are looking for! Our favourite is Spicy Beef Noodle Soup. Very fresh & delicious! They also provide a generous portion of green herbs together with Pho (beef noodle soup). The best I have ever had in Cairns! The staff is also very warm, friendly & always greet us with smiles! Vy (chef & owner) definitely loves what she is doing! I highly recommend this restaurant to locals...
After checking with Happy Cow for a place with vegan and vegetarian options my husband went off to get some takeaway dinner for us. I got a noodle dish (not exactly sure which one) with tofu and it was AMAZING. And so much tofu (usually you're lucky to get a few pieces). It was a large bowl so I ate half cold for the lunch the next day and it was such as delicious. So sad this is not a local place for me. My hubby was also very pleased with his soup. Highly recommend this place for delicious fresh noodles.
This restaurant is truly authentic! We discovered it by chance on the first floor of the Orchid Plaza Shopping Centre. The handmade dumplings in the display case caught our eye and we decided to order a serving. They were absolutely delicious, so we also ordered a Bun Bo Hue (spicy beef noodle soup). The broth had a wonderful fragrance and kick of spice, and the beef brisket was tender and full of authentic Vietnamese flavor. To top it off, the prices were very reasonable. Highly recommended!
I have only tried the special fried rice at this restaurant, and it is delicious if you get what you ordered. Unfortunately, the customer service is terrible. The lady who works there (the only one I have ever seen) does not speak English, so it is hard to know if she understands your order or any changes you request. The meal you receive can be hit or miss, and there is no response to a thank you, not even a facial expression.

We stopped in here on our first night in Cairns for a late meal. Tried the chilli lemongrass chicken - extremely tasty meal, good portion size, great value. Friendly staff, busy store, with lots of good value meals under $15. I can't wait to go back and try some of the other dishes...It was great value and surprisingly good fare for a food court. I would recommend this place for a quick meal in Central Cairns.
We ordered a crispy chicken rice, a special fried rice and a beef noodle soup. The fried rice is very nice , large portion and very flavoursome. Waited quite long for the crispy chicken rice, chicken is very crispy, nothing to fault. However, we were disappointed by the beef noodle soup, did not come together with the bean sprouts and herbs. The noodle was firm and different from the usual noodle we had.
Have had the curries here they were good....and the last dish I had was the Vermicelli Noodle Salad with Vege Spring Rolls YUM really enjoyed one of the more authentic ones i have found in Cairns disappointing though went back a week later with my mom and they were randomly closed no signs nothing....bit bizarre Highly recommend though for authentic tasty food with good vegetarian options
I am amazed by the negative reviews this restaurant has received. As locals in Cairns, my husband and I have discovered a hidden gem that serves incredibly authentic and delicious Asian cuisine. The "chilli noodle beef" dish is a must-try and truly the best I have ever had. The food is fresh, flavorful, and affordable. This restaurant is definitely worth a visit.

Good reasonably priced, good quality food attract a certain kind of diners especially me. I must say it's much better than the other Viet place at in Cairns. Self order and pay before you dine, basic Viet menu, must try is their Chilli Beef Noodle Soup. Taste wise 5 out of 5, I'll be back soon, if you come to Cairns, try this one, won't disappoint!
